Big site update!

I give a shout out to Nick for trying to help the users better understand the workings of the site features, but I do have my opinions on the changes.

My Stuff: I find the Trading Center link a bit redundant, since there's a link for it right there underneath the tab.
Adopt: No major complaints.
Forums: I applaud the View My Profile option and links to the general and roleplay forums. However, the Bookmarks, Settings, and the My Posts tabs detract from that, as they're easily visible, or easily located elsewhere, and not useful. Though I guess I can understand why you put them there, since they're essentials.
Store: Even though I don't buy anything from here, I like this tab because it's the least cluttered and contains the least amount of redundancy.
Archives: The first thing that came to mind was: Too many links. I can see that you put all the years there for easy access, but gah. Sometimes things are too easy to access.

From a programmer's stance, I think that your attempt is great. It may be difficult for users to adjust to a new system after they've already learned one system.

However, I am one of those users, and here are my thoughts:
From a CS player's stance, I think this update is very weird. I feel like the little popovers themselves are cluttered (especially the "My Stuff" popover), and the Forums popover doesn't even have a link for My Subscriptions, which is the most common thing I go to. I'm sad that there are quick links to so many things that I don't use, and no link to the one thing that I do use.
Overall, I feel that anything that is accessible under the "My Account" link should have been left off of the popovers. It seems excessive to have another way to get there (whereas the Adopt links to things that aren't accessible from other places), and removing those links would de-clutter the popovers.

Also, I'm having a hard time getting used to the Pound being under Adopt since Adopt used to be specifically for the monthly pets. I understand why you put those together, that's just a change that I'm having difficulties with.

I really like the new system, I think it's more organized and easier to move around. I'm sad you don't like it though.

I suppose I just don't see the organization of the new layout. For example: I find it silly that I hover my mouse over the My Stuff tab and the Trading center is shown when I could, instead, click on the Trades link (next to Balance) that is less than three inches away.

I guess I just like simplicity, and I feel like the new layout is going "Oh, you don't like clicking My account to get to your settings? Click here instead!" I'm happy that other people like it, but I felt more comfortable when there weren't excessive paths in the way of what I actually cared about getting to.

It's like installing Windows 8. I can live with it, I know how to get around, but I'm just not a fan of the way it works.

I liked it better when the balance was hidden in the Store tab--it was less cluttered. But I guess it's not a big deal.

My exact thoughts, I would however like to be able to access my wishlist easily again.

Agreed, the popovers would be less cluttered then. =)
Also I have some problems with the Pound, can't get used to have it in the Adopt section.
