How do you pick the new larger canvas? The first time I did a new drawing after the update it asked me what size I wanted, but now it doesn't.

The new larger canvas is only available on the Comics board and the Weekly Challenge board. If you start a new drawing there, you'll get the option to choose the new, larger canvas. (:

Edit - If you started a drawing on a large canvas in one of those boards, saved with "finish later" and finished in another board (the same way editables are moved to contests) would the large canvas transfer over? Would it even work at all?

The large canvas would transfer over, but I advise you to not abuse that feature. It's not meant to be used like that. The larger canvas is only a test for now, that's why it's limited to the new boards. Once it's been tested thoroughly, I'm sure other boards will get something like that too.

Whenever I try to use the big canvas it always comes out standard size. Does this program operate on linux, did I miss something, or is my computer just a little screwed up in the software?

I assume you are trying to select the big canvas in the Comics or Weekly Challenge board, yes? Because those are the only two boards that support the larger canvas so far. Anyway, try clearing your browser's cache before selecting the larger canvas.

yes ma'am! I'm starting in comics and transferring over to sketches and experiments. I did as you recommended but it prove the same results. It's not an urgent concern, I'll try rebooting the computer later. Thank you so much for your help!

Okay, so the problem I have been getting continuously is that Java is not installed, when it clearly is, and the scripting is enabled. Can anyone help me?

I can't switch to Chrome or Firefox because of certain reasons.
