Despite the fact that it had been gentle, my body didn't responded well to the prodding which caused me to whine softly in response. Where were we going? How long was this going to take? When was I going to be able to rest peacefully? So many questions flew through my mind seemingly all at once but there was only one that I really wanted the answer to. What were they going to do with me?

Ren winced slightly at his whimper, the thought running through his head of how much Damon sounded like a real puppy. He looked over at Storm, wondering if they should go back to the cave. "can you go get Athena?" he asked, stopping for a moment. "she's in the cave."

Hiro's eyes widened a bit and he grinned when she said his time. Saying that was a rare occurrence was an understatement--he couldn't remember the last time he'd actually grinned. Wow, that needed to happen more often. "Whoa really?" he asked, looking up at the back of her head as he started pushing her toward a small staircase leading to a hallway, probably used by the staff. Most likely not open to the public. Oh well, there was a room right at the beginning of the hall which could easily be unlocked if it wasn't already. He tugged on Jinx's jacket to make her follow him as he headed toward it, making sure nobody else was in sight.

Blinking sleepily I just made my usual zombies noises before going back to being silent. It probably would have helped if someone had gotten me a leash as degrading as the thought was. Hiro was already using my hoodie like one and I complied without questioning him so it would probably be an effective method of leading a sleepy kitty around.

Human logic was irrelevant now as my baser instincts began to surface. Instead of words, I communicated my current discontent through a series of whines and whimpers. Did he not know how much I was hurting? Not to mention that impossible itch behind my right ear that was beginning to drive me positively mad because I couldn't scratch it.

Hiro bit his lip softly at the sight--and sounds--of a terribly sleepy Jinx, holding back a small laugh. He tried the door knob and it was surprisingly unlocked, so he pushed the kitty into the room and followed suit, making sure to lock the door behind him. Thankfully, it was a normal bedroom so he gently pushed Jinx onto the bed, taking off his own shoes but not bothering with hers. Pulling the soft inviting comforter over the two of them, clothes and all, he curled up next to her and laid his head on her shoulder, one of his legs tangling with hers as he nuzzled closer to her. He sighed silently, the only sign that his breathing was irregular being the movement of his chest. This day was seriously, finally over.

The moment my body came into contact with the soft mattress that was it. My body went limp, fluffy appendages finally returning of their own accord as I wrapped my arms and tail around Hiro. It took a few minutes of nuzzling here and sniffing there before I was finally content and able to fall into a deep slumber. So many days without sleep were finally beginning to take their toll as my eyes closed and I left one world only to be thrown into another with vivid depictions of the horrors within the school.

Ren gave a gentle sigh as the dog didnt shut its trap, and finally stopped walking. He ran through his head how to treat a burn, because apparently puppy could still feel things when he was unconscious. Ren wasn't a cruel person, he couldn't stand seeing people in pain, unless it was an Eraser. Though his guy was a mutt. Maybe because he was Jinx's brother.
Ren set him down carefully, just laying him flat on the ground, and slung the backpack off his shoulder. He looked over at Storm, thinking about how much he was going to be judged for this. Helping Erasers. Since when did this happen? This guy was only trying to find his sister, or so he said.

Everything was a blur the moment my eyes opened just enough for me to see fuzzy green blobs among other blobs that looked vaguely humanoid. Blissful unawareness gave way to a painful reality as I began to truly feel the pain once more. I groaned, a faint sound that expressed my pain in a way that words could not. Could someone knock me out again? My eyes darted around still unable to see since they were being assaulted by bright lights and painfully vivid colors. "Note to self: Vouch for the extermination of all birds...except for penguins." The world was beginning to come in more clearly, in fact my eyesight made it so clear that it seemed as if I were viewing everything in super HD. This level of visual awareness gave me a splitting headache that was added to the growing list of things that made my day.

Ren cracked a grin at his sentence. Penguins where cool. He wondered what would happen if a human was injected with penguin DNA...flipper arms? They didn't have wings, so that'd be awkward.
