Roy gave a small nod, going to sit on one of the beds. He really didn't feel like it, but considering the last time he'd argued with this group, he'd ended up scared half to death and backing into an electric fence, he was pretty sure that listening to their suggestions was going to do him better in the long run.
He sat down, moving the kerchief away from his nose as the heal pulse fixed it up.

With nothing else to say, the pickpocket murmured a small "Congratulations," to the pregnant Mightyena.
Ashley leant against the wall, petting Achan in her lap, trying to pretend that she wasn't so tired. She shouldn't be letting these Rogues see how weak she was. But she was in the Magma base; they could tell anyway. Damn.

Achan looked up as the pregnant Pokemon groaned, his ears flicking back. He gave an unsure murmur, not wanting to see what was coming next. Then again, the young Pikachu really didn't know what was coming next.
'Chuuu....'
The little pokemon snuggled closer to his trainer, covering his eyes with his little paws.

It was time..
Mariah took a few shaky breaths, taking the bow and arrow from Richard; as he was the doctor, and probably the one that knew the most people in the base, he was the one that handed over the 'things' needed for the ceremony.
The dark haired woman closed her eyes, shaking her head a few times, before opening them again. She had to do this.
With trembling hands, she set the arrow, pulling back on the bowstring.
"Ari..Will-o-wisp.."
The misdreavus obeyed, setting the tip of the arrow alight, and Mariah unleashed it, watching the little flaming stick strike the raft, setting it alight.
It didn't just set him alight. It set alight they're hopes. They're dreams..The future they would have...
It set alight the very fabric of her being, and the usually stoic woman broke down, clutching to her brother as he ran to support her, sobbing into his chest.
"It's not fair! Why him?! Why not me!"

The pickpocket didn't react to the dog Pokemon now obviously in the first stages of labour, although the other Rogues glanced at her, then quickly away. He nodded to the electrician then away, a signal to distract the child from the birth- probably not something he needed to see.
The other Rogue nodded, heading to the boy, indicating for the Ninetales to follow him, though he had no clue if it would. Still, it was worth a shot, and that was the Pokemon most likely to distract the eight year old.
The Aqua grunt flinched as Mariah yelled. She... she didn't do that. She never did that. Jon... why'd you have to go? How were any of them going to survive this?
He took a few shaky breaths, watching the flames slowly consume the boat. By leaving. That's how they were going to survive. They were going to leave this place, and never come back.
He could feel himself shaking, hear the cries of the grunts around him, Mariah's screaming... It was too much. He sunk to his knees in the mud, his shaking and the rain rolling down his cheeks make it look like he was sobbing. How could he be dead?

"We've had worse..."
Mariah's brother honestly had no clue what to say to make her feel better, as even he never saw her break her usual mask of stoicism and sass. And if he had, he had been far, far too young to remember it. She had built up this shield at an early age, and one of the few people to see it break was Jon...
And now he was gone...
He looked up, hearing as Mariah's Lapras, Herodes, began to sing. It was the usual, mourning song of a lapras. Though it was not to call for his lost herd, but to lament a lost member of it.

That was it. As Herodes began to sing, the Aqua electrician broke down sobbing, not caring how he looked, not caring how loud he got. Yes, the funeral was mostly for Mariah's benefit, but Jon was his best friend damn it! Aqua be damned, the world be damned, Jon be damned for getting killed, Mariah be damned for breaking down alongside him!
How could this have happened!?

Kaiba just stared out into the ocean, watching as the flaming barge began to sink. The Lucario flicked one ear back, his expression unchanging, though he honestly felt his heart about to break in two. He had not known the dead man well. He had not known the dead man at all, but as he could sense emotions, the utter anguish and hopelessness coming from Jon's friends and family was making his head spin and his stomach hurt.
"We've...Had too many of these recently..." The Lucario mumbled, looking over as Richard's hand gripped his shoulder. "But despite that, the feeling never dulls..."
