I watched as a girl named Lilly Dallas walked up the stairs. I gulped, knowing that the boys were going to be next. I had put my name in once. One time out of thousands. I squinted my eyes shut, hoping that there would be no "Caleb" on that little slip of paper. But, I was wrong. The lady had just called my name in her annoying Capital accent, and I felt my legs numbly shuffle up to the stage. My head was spinning, and my vision beginning to fade. "And may the odds be in your favor, as well, Caleb," the lady said into the microphone. I eyeballed her crazy clothes, then glanced at the girl tribute who was up there with me. I then looked out to the crowd. My step mother was watching me with a smirk. I didn't expect any less from her. On the other hand, my father was watching with horror. He looked as if he wanted to say something, but his body wouldn't let him. I felt a small tear trickle down my face as the Capital lady nodded, speaking into the microphone,"Our tributes from district 10!"

Kemi hugged her mother and father and sighed. "I will live," she said to her parents. Her older sister hugged her afterward, and sighed. "I'll never forget you." Her shoulders sagged and her eyes dimmed. "I am good hiding and throwing sticks," she encouraged them.

We were both whisked off to the room where are families were allowed to see us at before we were slaughtered or starved to death. I held the tears in until the peace keepers shut the door. I plopped down on the velvet couch, bawling my eyes out. I just wanted to stay on the farm, even if it meant getting screamed at by my wretched "mother." I just wanted to go home.
(YAY! OMG I love you right now! It's my charrie Ruby that has a crush on Rex btw. Maybe they could ally... Maybe.)

I was given specific instructions by my trainer. I watched as a small, terrified girl walked up the aisle. "NO!" I screamed. I didn't even know her, but I was given instruction. "I'LL VOLUNTEER!" I screamed again, a tear sliding down my cheek. The peace keepers pulled me up the stairs as I cried out hysterically. The Capital lady gave me a funny look, then spoke into the microphone. "I see we have a volunteer," she said. "What's your name dear?" I spoke into her ear as tears kept falling down my face. "Ruby has volunteered. May the odds be ever in your favor."

Lily - District 10

Lily sat on the couch of her room in the Justice Building. She thought fondly of her parrot at home on the small farm, with her dad. She sighed, a tear rolling down her cheek, remembering his expression at the reaping. He looked liked he had died, he was so heartbroken. She slumped down on the couch, deep in thought. A while later, he came in. Lily looked up, snapping back into reality. He sat by her and gripped her shoulders. "I love you, baby. No matter what happens." He pulled her in for a hug and kissed her on the forehead, crying. Then, he sat back up and took out her amulet. "You forgot this. Keep this as your charm?" He asked. "Of course." He was suddenly whisked out of the room, and she sat, alone again.

Kyo shut his eyes, "WHAT DO I DO! I CAN"T KILL!" Kyo started to scream, sobbing on his pendant, that was still in his hands. Kyo glared at the justice room, "I HATE THIS!"
