I associate butterflies with a Japanese musician I really liked, Ukyō Kamimura, who's nickname was Kami. Unfortunately he died in 1999, so I think such a somehow not touchable creature as a Mutato, is a nice imagination of his soul/ghost.

Andromeda

Reason for choosing the name
I love going stargazing, and looking up, trying to find the Andromeda galaxy with my telescope. Immediately when I think of space, and stars, I think of that galaxy. It just fascinates me! So I thought that would suit this wonderful little Mutato!
