Chiming in with what Cynder said, I just have to point out that every fandom has its bad side and it's really how they make their first impression that determines which side of the fandom people see. I know that when Anthrocon goes on in Pittsburgh they welcome the furries because the furries have made a good impression on them.
Also if someone asks what a furry is, compare them to cartoon animals and mention Bugs Bunny and Donald Duck. Those two are, in fact, technically furries and typically when people have something good to associate with a fandom they see less harm in it.
Whatever you do, do not mention all of the bad things people think about us and how we don't do it, because they'll just associate that stuff with furries anyway.

Not that I'm sure anyone really cares, but I recently re-designed my fursona, Moggy. It's not a HUGE change from her prior design but there are a few key differences, though their hard to notice unless you stick them side by side.

Here is a picture to show the differences:

She wont be wearing glasses in her Quad form anymore, just when she is Anthro.
She still has the side bang, it's just on the opposite side so you can't see it in this artwork, though I think I'm going to make that optional depending on the artist for her Quad form.

I hope to work on a new Anthro reference soon...it takes me much longer but it needs to be done seeing as Anthro is her main form technically.

I MUCH prefer this design over her old one and don't plan on changing it any time soon. What do you guys think? Do you like old or new better? (Be honest...I don't mind. ;3)
