Shiocton's ears pirked up and his head spun around towards the sound of the gun shots, and Zervan's growl. Hunters. Soon after he heard Zinerva calling Bianca and his names. He glanced over to Bianca, trying to figure out if she would be able to fight if it came to that. Then Shiocton came to the decision that of course she would be able to, she's Bianca. Before Zinerva could finish her question Shiocton interrupted. "Where is Zervan?"

She rolled her eyes at the worried Zinerva, pushing the thought of Zervan away. Until she heard the gunshot and the howls. SHe bounced back into her defensive mode, and took Zinerva more seriously. Their leader was in trouble. Bianca pushed past Shiocton, then turned back to see his face. They needed to hurry to get to Zervan before it was too late.

The female turned to the Shiocton to answer his question, her eyes wild with panic. "Follow me!" she growled, the panic clear in the tone of her voice. "Zervan's been injured by hunters! Aiko, Aelius and Melody are already with him!" She swivelled around towards the scent and charged through out of the camp, making sure that her pace was not too fast to follow. As she ran, she began to worry that the hunters might have returned.
What if they have come back? What if they are greater in number? Her thoughts immediately concentrated on Melody and Aelius, her friend and the one she liked. What if they were hurt too now? She couldn't bear the thought of losing her leader, her only true friend and Aelius on the same day, not to mention one of their top commanders, Aiko. This pride had been so welcoming to her. She couldn't lose it now. These thoughts spurred her on, subconsciously encouraging her to increase her pace.
She soon picked up the trail and called back to the commanders, "here's the trail of the others! They're very close now!" She led them through the trees, darting in and out of them as agile as possible. Her paws dug into the ground as she pounded her way forward, her dark eyes constantly alert to any potential threats. Soon enough she began to detect the smell of Zervan's blood again. She felt a cold chill flood through her spine.
Oh Creator, I hope we're not too late! Soon she could see her fellow pride members ahead of her and she began to slow down. Skidding to a halt she padded over to Aiko. "I've brought Shiocton and Bianca with me, as I said I would," said Zinerva, her eyes wild with panic. She looked over at Aelius. He seemed fine, despite smelling of Zervan's blood slightly. She could also see that they were already leading Zervan away, just as she had recommended earlier. "Is there anything I can do to help?" she asked, her tail quivering anxiously. Suddenly, though it took her a while to realise, she noticed that someone was missing. Her eyes widened, her ears flattened.
"Where is Melody?!"

Crush/Mate None of your business!
She stood, putting her paw on the loner's throat. Her lips curled back into a vicious snarl, her purple eyes burning with fury. She had spent the past few minutes to try and interrogate the loner about his business so close to the injured pride leader. Surely it could not have been a coincidence that there were humans so close to Zervan and this loner happened to be nearby. But he wasn't saying anything at all. He didn't even make a story up. She wasn't going to give up easily. "I warned you!" she spat with disgust. "Tell me the truth! Why are you here? How did my leader get hurt? Talk!" She released the pressure on his throat to allow him to take a gasp of air. She watched him coughing and spluttering below her, his ice blue eyes filled with surprise. She pitied the loner in a way. What had made him so twisted enough as to want to kill other Antlered Guardians? Was it the same thing that had made Zinerva so bitter, even cruel at times? She sighed angrily, some of her temper easing off. "Look, I'm just trying to find out what happened to my leader, alright?" She looked him directly in the eyes. "A loner like you doesn't understand the joys of pride life. You don't know how accommodating we can be. We've taken in many loners like you before. I don't pretend to understand how life outside the boundaries of my pride is, but all I know is that we are a family and my leader is a major part of that. I just want to know why you would even think of trying to tear a family apart like that." Looking into the loner's eyes, she could see that he was puzzling something out.
What is he thinking? she wondered.

Alik looked at the female, an amused smile crossing his face after a few moments. "That's the second time today a pride Guardian has given me that speech," he said, his tone quite anxious still. "In fact it was a member of your pride. A green female with darker stripes. Blue eyes. Very short-tempered."
The female above him frowned in confusion. "How did you come across Bianca?" she growled, her voice not as threatening as it was before.
The male yawned, trying to hide the fact that he was actually afraid at the female's ability to react quite swiftly when he tried to get away. "Your leader led a small group of you guys out to find me and get me to join your pride. I refused and left, but the determined female followed me ." He chuckled to himself. "I have to admit that I admired her tenacity. Not many Guardians I've met have that in them."
The female above him chuckled at his statement, obviously agreeing with him. "Bianca is tough and can be quite harsh at times too, but she's really nice on the inside." The female then stopped laughing and looked at Alik directly, her eyes suddenly focusing very carefully on him, as if lost in thought.
Alik looked up at her with worried eyes. "What is it?" he growled. "Hunters?"
The female shook her head slightly. Then she spoke rather abruptly: "If I were to get off you now, would you tell me what happened with my leader please?" But before Alik could answer, the female stepped off him.
He blinked in surprise. He rolled onto his side and got to his paws, looking at her to see if she was going to make a move or not. She just sat there looking at him, as if she trusted him. He wasn't sure how to respond...
