Big site update!

The new site layout is good. I especially love the separation of advanced/relaxed roleplays. That seriously helps when looking for new advanced roleplays to join. Before I would have to fish through hundreds of illiterate or not literate enough roleplays to find a few good ones.

However, the new/more harshly enforced rules just disgust me. You're turning this site into a children's playroom, not a legitimate creative outlet. Anything "dark" can get one banned. Honestly, it feels like a stab in the back for people like me; the darker, more depressed side of society. If CS was a city, I would be banned for being myself.

You guys should fix this. Like, add a whole separate section for the "darker" roleplays and strictly regulate it so people who can't handle that stuff, or COPPA'd members cannot access it. That way, my friends and I won't feel ostracized, and the more sensitive members of CS won't have to see it. Cause really, CS makes me feel ostracized nearly every day. The only reason I still stick around is cause this is the biggest roleplaying website I can find.

See, but CS isn't the place for "darker things." If you want to role play that kind of stuff, there are lots of role play sites!

The site is sorta made for younger people, so of course there shouldn't be anything too 'dark'. If there was a place for darker roleplays, then I'm sure a lot of people would check it out just to see, and not enjoy it. COPPA is only for people under the age of 13, and I know lots of adults and teenagers that are grossed out by 'darker' roleplays, or just anything like that. Not to even say about how many people aren't COPPA that should be.

Now; of course, let just pretend that they did make a place for dark roleplays. What would there be there? A bunch of pregnant teenagers? People/animals/what ever you would RP as doing drugs? Drinking? People ripping each other apart? Because basically, that's all the rules are stopping. Maybe it's just me, but it seems very pointless to do that. There are thousands of other RP sites or adults, teenagers, kids, basically all ages.

Let's also not forget about places like Facebook, Skype and Tumblr were even though it isn't quite meant for RPing, lot's of people in a group or whatever could RP together whatever they wanted. Plus I think in many places Tess has stated she has no reason to change anything.

Honestly, I don't care about the violence rule--I find harsh violence disturbing myself. By "dark", I mean mental health disorders. That's the one rule that I really hate. I'm sorry CS, but mental disorders exist, and outlawing them will not make this place "child-friendly." Heck, I was born with mental health disorders, so as a child I had them, and I still have them. They're depressing, yeah, but they make me who I am, and outlawing that is just a stab in the back.

And since they targeted cs to younger kids, they are going to do everything tht can to make a safe environment for them.It took me a second to get that through my thick head.

And I'm pretty sure Tess and Nick aren't going to change the're minds (and if they do, not too much) about what they did to the site. Some will like it, some won't and some will be sorta ok with it.its okay to not be okay with change.

The change is for the kids that are still here on cs. Ya know, the coppa'd and some who aren't, but still young?
We don't want too much gore gifs or pictures giving nightmares, now do we or anything else inappropriate for kids?

Anyway, its bad for all of those older mature rpers (like me) because we can't have our fun anymore, or it is limited. I mean, i did have a problem with the teen pregnancy thing, but its alright now i guess, its more.child friendly ouo

But id have to find other websites to roleplay on, since i still like cs. I can even pm you some of those websites if you like.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that the rules are....beneficial for a kid friendly adoptable site.

I like the new updates, but I think there should be an rp/talking board for people who registered 16+. Only people in or over that age could view and post in that forum. There would still be moderators and rules, but it will give more freedom to the older players on cs.

What about the really mature players under 16? Just because you're older doesn't mean your more mature. I disagree with the RP rules, but I guess they are okay and understandable. There are plenty of rule-less RP sites to RP on, and you can PM links to your friends. I think that would be fine.
