She welcome cuddles~

On an off topic note;
Our Snake Valentino got out of his cage. We are not sure how he got out but he is no where to be found. We have searched high and low for him. We cant find him. I dont know where else we could look and we are not sure how long ago he got out. We had him out Thursday so it has to be somewhere between Friday and today. We went to get him out to feed him today and he was no where in his cage, or anywhere near his cage. =( We already miss our snake </3 We left a mouse out for him hoping he will get hungry and find it but my mom seems to think he's gone.
(Dont worry the rats are upstairs and the snake is somewhere downstairs. theres no way he could get upstairs.Plus he is not big enough to eat a rat XD)

We took Kitty to the vet. She has lost the babies. She is not being very friendly and is biting be she went back with Saki quickly and they are both happy together. But we still do have the sleep apart because we just want to make sure they are all good before we let them be together when we can't watch.

You may find him yet. Snakes get into the weirdest places. We had a 2 week power failure in 12 degree (f) weather a few years ago. We moved in with my mother and the 6ft ball python got out. It managed to get under the closet door and hide under a pile of shoes. :shock:
We also packed about 8 rats with us and guess what my mother's least favorite things are? Snakes and rats.
On subject:
We have several rats now. We just got a new one and she is hairless. So cute.

(I only posted twice, I'm not sure if I am still officially a member so...Username: PuddlebyOnTheMarsh, have owed many many rats. Check my Avatars of Friends folder.)

    So, I have a question for hopefully the more experienced rat owners. I recently put down one of my rats and the other seems to be in mourning. They've been together since I got them and I don't know what to do know that she's alone. She's still eating, but she seems really sad and she'll just sit. Would it be best to get her a companion?

How long has it been since you put the first down? I would say if she seems lonely, it may be best to introduce a new buddy. My guy went through a very short mourning period after I had to put Bimisi down(pituitary tumor) but bounced back fairly quickly. He gets aggressive with other rats I've tried to introduce since then so he is living alone now and basically lives on my bed with me

    Probably two weeks now. I was considering looking at a shelter for another rat, but she's really timid and I'm afraid one of those rats would take advantage of that and bully her away from the food or makes things worse for her. So then I thought about getting a younger one who she might be able to cuddle up with, but she's already almost three and I'm afraid the same thing will happen with the baby if she passes from old age or sickness.

You could get two younger ones, that way when your older one passes, the younger ones will still have each other
