Whitefeather sighed, shaking her head.

Lightstep stood up and spoke a bit louder, loud enough for someone as close to them as OceanTail to hear but not anyone in the cave to hear. (Although she doesn't know OceanTails even there. lol.) "You have no idea how badly i want to tell someone, anyone, your my sister and that Cloverbeam is my brother, but you know we can't. We'd be shamed. Father and Mother were both from a different clan, Mother from Fang and Father from Feather. They weren't supposed to get together in the first place."

Oceantail dropped the fish in surprise, allowing it to drop back into the water and swim away. "Foxdung!" he said a little too loudly when he realized the fish escaped.

Fogpaw his the eagle and flew into the air again. The smoke stuck his eyes and singed his lungs, but he continued. His keen eyes soon spotted a rabbit. The apprentice landed on the forest floor, grimacing at the mud-like ash that clung to his paws closer than his pelt, but stalked forwards. Then he pounced, killing the rabbit by landing squarly on it's spine. He picked u his fresh-kill and went to hide it with the other. Now he doubted he would find any more prey. The scent of blood was in the air, and most prey animals were likely to have fled.

Lightstep and WhiteFeather froze when they heard a cat say foxdung. Slowly, Lightstep turned around and there was OceanTail! Both sisters eyes widened and they both were in shock. He had heard them!!!

Oceantail's eyes were wide like a deer caught in the headlights of a Twoleg monster. He backed away slowly and flew off quickly, not really knowing where he was headed.

Icestar began to sneeze. Knowing too much smoke inhalation was dangerous, he decided to meet up with Fogpaw. "Your assessment is over. The smoke is too thick right now and there won't be alot of prey around. If there are, they probably aren't healthy." he said. "Good job."

"OceanTail!" Lightstep called, quickly rising and following him.

Fogpaw smiled. He rarely smiled. "So am I going to be a warrior?" He asked/.

Oceantail couldn't fly any quicker. The wind was blowing too strongly and his wing was causing him to fly crooked. He landed in a tree that was by the river right before the ledge of the waterfall.

Icestar smiled. "Go shake the dust out of your fur and get some food." he said to Fogpaw. He wondered if he should take his clan outside for the ceremony or just have it on their part of the cave.

Lightstep landed quickly next to OceanTail. She winced when her neck filled with sharp pains but ignored it. Quietly she wispered, "You heard that?"

"I didn't mean to. I just went to go fishing." Oceantail said, looking down the edge of the cliff. He'd have to either jump down into the water or climb down. There was no way his wing would let him glide down without injury.
