not to keen on the new layout change it takes a little longer to use now.
but since it was done like when operating systems get upgraded i guess i'll gradually get use to it the more i use it. (wont mean i will ever like it though)

This is great! A little confusing for me but I'm sure I'll fond my way through the site better. I seriously freaked out when I didn't see the wooden blocks, my precious wooden clicky blocks, but they have gone to digital wood plank heaven. <3

i am not particularly keen on the update. while it was to reduce clutter, that is not the case for the nintendo dsi. i got the images turned off and am in column view in order to reduce any clutter. it worked great for the old version of cs, but now it's a bigger mess than before. not to mention it lags.
the one picture rule? people build their character forms around pictures and it's great to always see what they're taste is. also, the violence rule is more than a bit too strict.
however, i will admit i was getting pretty sick of the teenage pregnancy role plays. stricter rules means fewer of those. but since this is allowed on a child friendly site, what about the topic of suicide? most role plays centered around that show the person has been sent somewhere to get better, along with self harm. are we just to ignore the fact it is possible to get better from a problem like that? or ignore it altogether?
i can see the problem with the abuser and the abused. um, no? that shouldn't be allowed here. or anywhere for that matter.

So I noticed that we're only to have one picture of the actual character and their secondary form if they have one, but what about decorative pictures? Like, say, for a Harry Potter roleplay, could we include pictures in our forms that are potions, or a wand, or the house crest? I just want to clear this up before I make a form.

Edit: and what about if I used fontmeme for circles? Would I not be able to do that?

I'll say honestly that I'm not fond of the whole 'One reference picture per character' as I like to set out my forms with little pictures for effect or decoration, plus having two or three reference pictures helps because you see the person from different angles, but I'm sure I'll learn to deal with it...

No decorative pictures can be in RP forms now, only a single reference image for your character (plus one for each secondary form in the case of shapeshifters). You can still use text headers like Fontmeme or decorative divider lines in your RP form, but not extra pictures, so you couldn't use, say, an image of a potion as a divider, the wand as another, etc., as that would be trying to get around the 'one image only' rule. If the character has items/pets/specific clothing/cars/etc., it should be described with words only. :3

@ Doncaster, do you need to see the same person from multiple angles though? ;3 RPing is a written medium, not a visual one, and the vast majority of the descriptive work really should rest on the RPer's writing. Unfortunately the large amounts of decorative images people were adding to their forms were causing problems at all levels, like making it very difficult for anyone with a slower computer/device to RP at all (due to the image load freezing their devices), and greatly increasing the chance of inappropriate images slipping through.
