Mutato #207

Postby bananer » Tue Aug 20, 2013 3:54 am

Hello there! This is my first real Mutato and I really hope you like it! C:
If i understood right this one should be #207 but tell me if I'm wrong, I've never done this before! ^.^

Please do not post until Tsukiko or Akami have posted and made the Mutato!

This one has an autumn forest body and a nigh sky tail!

What is a Mutato?

In a rapidly changing world of rapidly accumulating toxic waste, Mutatoes take to the sky.
These creatures, affectionately dubbed Mutatoes, are a sad combination of an unknown creature, radioactive material, and a potato.
They live in the sky and consume UV radiation. They are the new era of Super Man.

At birth Mutatoes are about the size of a potato and can grow to around the size of a basketball.
Generally they are busy creatures who would prefer flying to being carried.
The Mutato is filled with the same kind of gases that its tail is made of.
These gases are currently unidentified, but are lighter than air- enabling them to fly.
They can stay in the air for a maximum of 20 hours straight before they need to land and "rest".
Though, when they can't be in the air, Mutatoes pace... a lot.

The winner of this Mutato Is:

Achromatic - Enjoy your Mutato ^.^

Achromatic. With the period. But you can call me Cat or A.C. if you want.

A pretty girl needs a pretty name. That's right, it's a girl, and I'm naming her chrysanthemum night.

This little mutato caught my eye the moment I set eyes on it. It's just so delicate. The autumn-like forest pattern on its body immediately reminded my of a sentence in a poem, "And in the garden, the chrysanthemums bloom." Chrysanthemums are delicate too, often blooming in autumn, flourishing the season with their vibrant hues. However, what was truly impressive about this design is the night sky tail that trails behind the autumn. That's why I'm naming her chrysanthemum night. A bit long, but poetic.

    Name:
    Autumn
    Reason for choosing the name:
Well, it's pretty clear why I chose it but I'll divulge further. I chose this name because I adore the fall, I love the crisp cool air and I love the colors of the leaves, they're so beautiful. Another reason was because I had named a character Autumn, I had put that character into a book I was making and I sort of revolved her personality around me, kind of but not a lot. Another reason for choosing Autumn as this Mutato's name is because I thought it was fitting because the nights start getting shorter at that time of the year and the leaves start to change.
Picture of an animal that lives in that forest:
    Image
    Poem:
A cold wind blows through the trees
Making all of them bare from the breeze
    Colors swirl in the air
As the wind rustles everyone's hair

Winter is coming you can tell
It's like it's ringing clear as a bell
Everyone dreads that season of the year
Because they're all bustling when it's here

    Some people enjoy this season
Yet I do not understand any reason
The leaves they die and the snow it comes
The carolers they roam with resounding thrums

But then the snow shall melt and the leaves will grow
All around the plants, flowers, and trees glow
Then it cycles and the leaves die once more
And the freezing air chills you to your core

Name of the Mutato; I would name this Mutato Night
Reason for Choosing the Name; Since the tail design looks like a starry night sky, I decided I would name her Night instead of going with an autumn-based name
Picture of an Animal that Lives in the Forest; See left, some deer in the nighttime
Extra; Short Story; *Crrraack!*
Night winced. She scurried, quieter this time, deeper into the woods. Advancing on a clearing, she slowed. She knew this route like the back of her paw, but she always went over the steps in her head first.
1. Fly up a metre
2. Grab the rock
3. Pull yourself up
4. Lie flat

Once on the rock, Night belly-crawled to the edge. She stuck her head just enough above the rim so that she could see, and grinned. They were here.
In the clearing gathered several deer, a family, the little ones lying down for sleep. This was Night's favourite time of the day- deer-watching time.

Ratatosk

++Reason for choosing the name

It's the name of a nordic nature spirit with the shape of a squirrel. Well, I love squirrels and the Mutatos remind me of them. They are cute and shy, but intelligent and don't liike crowds. :)
Also squirrels live in forests or at least on trees and Ratatosk is some sort of sqirrel king, so this exact design is perfect for that name - or the other way around. o.o

Unfortunately we didn't manage to catch a squirrel on photo so far, but this one is also pretty:

name of the Mutato
Ebony

Reason for choosing the name
Ebony means a hard heavy blackish wood yielded by various tropical chiefly southeast Asian trees, which reminds me of the trees in this forest
