True about the tokens!
Hmm, so I guess it really is because of the tokens? There were a lot and they were cute, so people kept a lot instead of trading them in for pets... And that obviously makes rarer pets.

Ahh well, it doesn't really matter to me. I just have a bunch of rares and rares-to-be in my trade groups now XD

We had lots of different types of tokens too, for Easter we only had 4, no? For this event we had tons, and a lot of them were adorable (rat plushies), cool (weapons) or very useful for dress ups (flowers & fireflies) which encourages people to keep multiples of them. So I would agree that people keeping tokens also drove the rarity up for the token pets. I don't think it's a bad thing, as it gave newbies a chance to collect some uncommons and rares so they can trade for older pets c:

I'm kinda surprised that so many pets from this event went rare. I guess with so many people keeping the items it does play a part to the pets rarity but that many? I agree with Solloby that it does gives newer players the chance to get some rare pets for their collection or for trading.

Well, I certainly had a VERY hard time trading in those weapons xD
They are just too awesome - HAD to get as many extras of them as possible,
to the point where I rather traded for missing pets than to get them myself - something I usually don't, as I dread event trading.


But it was totally worth it. I'm madly in love with the nightmare weapons.

I didn't really like the newborn PPS from the Mayor's house so I didn't try to get them and swapped them for pets I wanted. Whelp. Looks like I missed out on rare babies.
Oh well, I still don't like them.
The token thing makes sense, because the tokens for this event were unfairly awesome. I hated turning them in, especially the dream sheepies.

Oh, me too. I kept some swords and tokens, but I was surprised so many pets were rare. The Faire had good tokens, but none of the pets were really all that rare. (At least, I've gotten all if them by now.)

Some people could still be on summer vacation, like me, and can be rather busy which also adds up to the rarities we got. (Or they're busy for school...) Besides, people were crazy for this event and didn't like to let go of their pets.

I know that I definitely kept way more tokens from this event than any other. ^^ Usually I trade in or give away all my tokens apart from maybe two or three types that I really like and want to use as items, so I typically end up with maybe ten tokens left after the event ends. This event? 160 tokens. I wanted all the tokens as items, and I wanted lots of them, so I traded in until I had one of each pet plus a few spares, as well as all the trade-in items and a couple spares, and then just collected tokens for the rest of the event. X3

Very surprised there were that many rares, but if a lot of people followed a similar pattern of saving 100-150 more tokens than usual, that's a ton of extra pets not added to the system. I imagine it'll make a lot of new players happy to have some accessible rares though ^^

Yes, lots of cool free items, but no VRs?! I rather have a VR then items I most likely wont use.

People are saying its because more people are joining. Then why arent there more commons?! Oh wait there isnt even a common.

Very disappointed CS, cool plot/pets but the rarities are messed up.
