What does an American accent sound like? cx I understand southern, Boston, New York, texas, but America in general? So confused xD I'd love to be British or something to try to figure out what an American accent sounds like XD

there's no other way to describe it in my opinion...

we speak differently, like the way we carry our tone and pronounce our words.. ive been told i have a north eastern accent meaning i speak kind of fast at times, say "pop" instead of soda, and speak very clearly.

An American accent, from the perspective of someone who has the standard American accent, sounds very clear and straight forward in general. There isn't a particular defining thing about the accent, it just sounds like the everyman of accents. Our speaking pace ranges from moderate to fast. That's how an American accent seems to me.
