Spirit wrote:Um, hello?? Have you been paying attention? Geeze. My name's Spirit Wisp, which is kind of a stupid name, but everyone just calls me Spirit or Wisp, which I guess is pretty cool...Wisps can kill people, so that's way awesome!
Spirit wrote:In my spare time...? Hm....Well, I like sleeping, and I like playing around outside. I don't really care if it's day or night, I'd much rather stay outside then inside. Something about being inside just...ugh. -shivers-
Spirit wrote:Favourite color? Blue! Duh! I perfer the kind of starry black blue that you get in the middle of nowhere and you can see all the stars, but I suppose summer sky blue isn't to bad....
Spirit wrote:My favourite thing about myself? My charming personality and stunning good looks of course! I'm totally killer with the ladies. -winks-
Although...I guess I really like my eyes. They're...yeah. I guess the only bit I like about myself.
Spirit wrote:Fear? Pfft! Like I'm going to tell you! Don't even try it - I'm not afraid of anything. Not dying, not being alone - NOTHING.
Spirit wrote:My favourite story? How old do you think I am - three? Ugh. Well....
I remember, when I was younger. My mom always used to tell me bed time stories about unicorns and heroes who escaped to other worlds through wardrobes and how they became kings and queens and found love...My favourite one though, was the one about the enchanted little kit and the princess who refused to marry anyone who wasn't smarter than them. I think I can remember it...It went something like this:
Once upon a time, in a kingdom far far away, there lived a beautiful princess by the name of Saffra. She was kind and sweet, with a heart of gold but a tounge of silver and a wit firey and strong. When her father informed her that she was going to marry, she raged and screamed, and then calmed herself, and went to her father with a challenge. She said she would marry, but only if he could find one who was her equal in all - smarts, kindness and beauty. Her father, thinking that there were many beautiful men out there, eagerly agreed to keep on his daughter's good side.
However, the Princess had a secret - she loved to read, and was incrediably smart. There would not be any who could match her in wits or intelligence, and though there were many handsome men who came to seek her hand, none prevailed at all the tests. Wheter they were beaten by the test of kindness or the one of smarts, none managed to win her hand, and the princess rejoyced, glad to not be married.
Now, in a little town not to far away from the castle, a young handsome kit heard of the princess' challenge, and with a kiss on his mother's cheek, and a grin to his older siblings, who tried to stop him from going, the kit headed off. His name was Taren, and his tail was of the darkest midnight black, sprinkled with silver like the night sky. Taren was a great prankster, and although as smart as the princess, he was very lazy, and often didn't bother studying.
As he walked along the road to the princess' castle, he came across a little old kit standing in the middle of the road. Confused, but raised by his mother to be polite - here, mom would always bob me on the nose and I would giggle sleepily, - Taren asked the little kit, "Is there something that ails you?" The little milky way kit grinned, and he swirled around him a large cape, the same color as Taren's dark tail.
"Only that I have no company while I travel to the castle!"
Taren grinned, and bowed to the kit. "As luck would have it, I too am headed towards the castle - would you care to accompany me?"
The kit nodded, and they set out again. By and by, Taren began to wonder what his companion's name was, and broached a conversation as the castle began to come into view. "So, do you have anything I can call you?"
"What can I call you?" The old kit asked almost immediatly asked after, and Taren blinked in surprise.
"Everyone calls me Taren."
"Well then." The kit said, "Call me Carmlo."
Carmlo grinned and Taren shrugged, and they drew up at the castle.
"Who goes there!?" A guard called, and Taren called up, "Taren the Silver Starred, asking for the princess' hand in marriage!"
"Who travels with you?"
"Carmlo!" Shouted the kit, "Carmlo the Dark Furred, seeking the King!"
The gates raised, and they trotted inside, Taren burning with questions about Carmlo's request to seek the king, but keeping quiet to protect his friend's privacy.
Taren and Carmlo were shown to the throne room, and Taren caught sight of the princess for the first time. His breath was taken from him, and he gasped aloud, now intent on making the beautiful princess his wife. Saffra snorted at him, but they both bowed.
"I hear another has requested my daughter's hand! What heroic deeds have you completed that make you worthy?"
And Taren paused and stammered, for he was not a hero, and the king frowned.
"He's kept me company for many miles," Carmlo said, "As I have been cursed to take this form. I come seeking your council, king."
"I cannot help, my friend," the king said sorrowfully. "My daughter refuses to give council until I take back her marriage proposal, but she needs a mate to care for her."
And Taren jumped at the chance. "I will travel with you, Carmlo, and we shall search for your cure and I will become a hero in return for the princess' hand!"
He travelled far and wide for two years, defeating monsters and demons alike, and came back to the castle to ask again and asked for the princess' hand, but was again turned down.
"What kind deeds have you done?" The princess challenged, and he set off again, another two years of travelling and helping others far and wide, Carmlo by his side to help him.
When he returned, with no cure for Carmlo's illness, but heroic tales to his name, Taren once again asked for the princess' hand.
"Only if you can answer me this, then," The princess said, and a great battle of wits took place. It lasted for three days, every question the princess asked being answered by Taren, until he came across one that caused him to pause.
"How would you heal Carmlo's curse?"
Taren was stuck, but then his friend stepped forwards and said, "He already has. By keeping me company for four long years, since we first met at the crossroads, Taren has lifted my curse. I was to be an old kit until the day one would look past my flaws and become my friend."
With that, Carmlo vanished, and a handsome prince stood in his place, a tail silver as the moon and eyes as gold as the sun. He held his head proudly and turned to Taren. "I ask that you join my household as my brother, and take half of my kingdom for yourself and whoever decides to wed you - be it Saffra, who you have fallen in love with, or another who will capture your heart, I ask that you rule beside me."
And though the princess became friends with Taren and Carmlo, Taren didn't end up marrying Saffra, and he found a sweet girl from his town who he swept off her feet to rule beside him as Queen. Carmlo and Saffra fell in love, and Taren and Carmlo ruled his lands for many years, through wisdom and kindness, and heroic feats.
And they all lived happily ever after.

I think I blotted a lot of it out though, cause all I remember is a swirl of silver, and a howl of anguish, and then the earth beneath my paws as I ran away.
I didn't have anywhere else to go, having only lived with my mom since dad left us, and I knew that if I didn't run the pack would leave me out to die anyway.
Spirit wrote:My mom...My mom was amazing. She took care of me, and made sure I was safe and happy all the time, no matter how much of a brat I was, or how little food we had. No matter what, mom always made sure I was happy...and I love her for it. I've never had any other siblings - only child, yay! - but I know dad's a jerk. He left me and my mom when I was a kid, so I only know bits and pieces of that guy. I don't even really consider him my proper 'dad'. He's just somebody I used to know.
