Okay- I have something to share c:
So I go to a Unitarian Universalist church (all faiths are accepted and it is primarily based on nature, values, respect for everyone, finding your own path, etc.), and I just found out that it is planning a camping trip for everyone of all ages (there are not very many of us- maybe 35-40 tops). AND I am so excited! There are so many sweet children at our church, a bunch of seniors and middle ages adults, and then there is my self (the only Wiccan) and my best friend who is a guy (who is an atheist- but super accepting and supportive). It will be out in a wooded area near a creek (which is where I feel almost completely spiritually at home- I feel completely spiritually at home in redwood forests C: ) I am so excited- I love camping, sleeping on the ground- waking with the sun and sleeping with the moon and stars.... c:
Out of curiosity- does anyone have a place that feels like their spiritual home?

One step at a time.

My house is surrounded by a forest and even when I was younger I felt more at home there than I did anywhere else. I would spend almost all of my time outside. But as I have gotten older and found the gloriousness that is the internet, I don't go out much anymore, but I am going to make a point of doing it again. It's nice to feel connected. (:

Sometimes when I snow ski (I'm not this proficient on snowboard yet) I'll take a tree trail. Ski Cooper is a pretty small place, but it has the best tree runs that I've ever been on. They veer far away from the other, more popular trails, and they're beautiful. I love the evergreens covered in snow, sometimes the trail even runs beside a small nook. Sometimes, I can find places to stop on the trail and just take everything in. Snow is a great muffler, and so are the fluffy clothes that I wear. That makes the entire place completely silent and still, making everything seem frozen in time. I can't stay there long enough to camp or anything, but I always feel completely peaceful when I get to ski through there.

Any place with trees, the more the better. I also prefer lakes and ponds over rivers and brooks. standing among the snow covered trees sounded lovely. I disliked liveing close to the downtown because there were no copses of trees just the odd on here and there. Even now I will mostly astral travel to places that feel 'special'.

~ I was in a bookstore at my local mall today and I was very shocked to see all the Wiccan/Pagan/Satanistic books they had! I couldn't help but indulge myself in all of them! Although it was a tiny section compared to the 'Christian Living' That section had two full isles.. I forget what it's called but i'm going back to pick up a book called " Spirit of the Wolf " It's about Totems and the symbolism of wolves in different religions and how to contact and well talk with your inner totem/wolf! I can't wait! <3
