Sparrow Island, known to most as just; Sparrow, is an isolated island thousands of miles from Hawaii. It's the secret location of the infamous Project: Stranded On Sparrow, or Project: S.O.S for short. No other human knows about the existence of the project or location of the island. There's no escape. Once you enter Sparrow Island, you will have to live in it, and die in it. The project is ran by the North American and South American government. Project: Stranded On Sparrow is a test to see if humans will be able to fend for themselves without the modern technology and the advanced medical help.

This has been happening since the 1900's. Every ten years, four young female adult and four young male adults are offered a free vacation; this stage is known as 'The Luring'. They do their best to persuade and encourage them to go to this island that will be all paid for and basically a getaway from their busy and stressful lives. They'll offer you money and other goods, telling you that you're the first person that they've thought of because of your special traits and skills. Of course you find it sketchy at first, but you eventually agree.

After agreeing to go with them, you'll pack a few clothing that they've allowed you to take with you; three pairs of shoes, four shirts, two pairs of bottoms, undergarments, some socks, and some accessories, like a hat or sunglasses for example. You're blindfolded and flown out to this island that you have never heard. Before you even turn around to ask a question; they're gone. You're left behind. The other seven people finally arrive and then you're all given a letter in a basket that explains the whole situation. Within the metal box are some things to help you get started; three boxes of matches, four large waterproof tarps, eight medium-sized pocket knives and eight water bottles. There are prey, you've been given supplies, you're with strangers. Just remember one thing; survive.

kind of expected, it's the number one golden rule of the site; follow nick and tess's rules. if you're not familiar, never read or just need a refreshing reminder; please click here to go to review it. i don't want any trouble from the admins or moderators. that's it, that's all. i do not want anybody spamming the thread with any constant out of character [ooc] talk and i will not tolerant anyone randomly posting whenever they feel like do. do not bump up the thread unless it's needed. the form formatting and posting formatting are both copyrighted to me so don't put them for another role play without giving me credit. do not change the color, font, text, ect, and then claim it as your own; it's mine. i really hate it when people take my forms and post formats and then not give me the credit; it does not work that way with me. if i see that you used it without giving me credit or without my permission; i will not hesitate to report you. i'm very strict about it. all of the images are edited by me, all of of the characters are also created by me; ask me before using them. i'll report you if you use without permission.

• posting requirements

low semi-literate role players and up. that means at least three lines. that's lines; not sentences. i don't care if the words are in a smaller font, i want them to be at least three lines per posts. for posting; i will give out a coding format that i require you to post so it'll be easier for everybody. the colors shouldn't be changed and especially not the font and the sizes. please make sure that you do update it if needed [location, people mentioned, ect]. do not quote for replies either; message the role player if they haven't replied back. i don't want people quoting posts every five minutes. it's spam, annoying and makes the role play thread look unorganized. you must have the grammar and punctuation right. no exceptions. i will not tolerate grammar mistakes, but i'll be alright with a few punctuation mistakes. spell check's there for a reason.

• forms, characters and reservation

if you wish to join this role play; there is a form already made out for you. i'm tired of people using forms from another role play and completely forgetting to add anything in to be relevant to this role play so i completely require you to fill it out. when you fill the form; make sure that everything is filled out in third point of view. not one; third. sorry if it makes you uncomfortable, it'll just be better. please make your answers clear as well. the form is pretty simple and only needs simple and short answers. reservations are for four hours; no exceptions. only post forms that are completed and not a work in progress because it's really a short and simple form. stop making excuses. everyone must play both a male and a female. make sure that you play your character right. don't change the character's personality.

• activity and quitting

to join this role play, you must be active. completely active. i really won't mind if you're going away for a weekend or a week and can't role play; i understand that. i do require you to post every hour; at least twice a day. if you're going on a trip; i do require you to message me and the other role player; if your wolf is interacting with another so they won't be confused. if you're not active for more than three days without notice; i will message you a warning private message that you'll have twelve hours to respond to or your characters will be deleted. don't lie; i will check your posts first to make sure that you're not lying. if i see that you're active on another role play and then you said that you couldn't be on; i will just delete you. don't lie to me. if something major happen, just tell me; i will understand. i won't be upset and i'll let you go on hiatus for a while until you come back. one week and three days is the maximum for a hiatus; longer than that, i will not be able to keep your character anymore. it's completely unfair. if you quit; just pm me. i don't mind nor care.

places on sparrow island

shore; the shores of sparrow is the arriving spot of the young adults. this is the ideal place to set up their camp, and where the came is. it's between two mountains and in front of a forest. there is shade from the many palm trees and the water is crystal clear, beautiful blue.

forest; a rich and fertile land. it's home to many of the prey on sparrow island. this is the place where you'd be hunting for food if you're tired of fishing on the shores. it's also home to some of the predators. the forest includes a small lake within it; the only freshwater supplied. fruit trees are another food source found there.

lake; a small freshwater source lying within the forest. it's clear and very clean; making it able to drink. even though it is clean, to make sure that you won't get sick, make sure that you boil the water and let cool before drinking. the lake and rain water are the only freshwater on the island.

mountains; the two mountains lie next to the shore of sparrow, one on the right, one on the left. the mountains are home to the dangerous predators that's silently watching the humans as they try to survive. the mountains are also home to some of the prey, but it's hard to get.

rabbits; those small little fluffy creatures that you probably have as a pet back at home? they're now food. small and easy to catch, if you're fast of course. their meat would need to be cooked and cleaned out with clean saltwater or clean freshwater to make sure that some parasites are washed away. found everywhere.

deer; these are the rarest and hardest prey on the the island and only reside in the mountains; sometimes a baby slips away, but it's very unlikely. they're very alert and easily frightened. it would take at least three people to kill it immediately without a hunting gun or bow and arrow. prepare their meat like the rabbits.

fish; you're going to need some kind of net or spear to catch them, but there's thousands of them just swimming near the shore. some are smaller than others, some are bigger, but either way it's food. make sure to gut it out and cook it properly. sure, it's not that fulfilling, but it's still food that will make the hunger go away.

oysters; some of them are toxic and will make you sick, it's always a chance when you find a group of these. they probably won't kill you, but they'll make you extremely ill if they're the wrong ones. other than that; they're common edibles that are found near the shore. there's usually at around twenty-thirty in every group.

coconuts; very common, found basically everywhere; especially on the palm trees on shore. one of the most editable fruits on the island. you can either try to climb and get them, or just wait until they drop from the trees themselves. cracking them with a rock is pretty hard, but the water and flesh inside sure is refreshing.

carambola; also known as starfruit. it's easy to get and is found inside the forest and the mountains since the shore isn't as humid and moist. the entire fruit is edible, even the waxy skin. it provided many vitamins and its acid sometimes even help get rust off. it's medical use is unknown, but it might help fight off infection.

berries; those common raspberries, blackberries, blueberries and strawberries. grown on bushes, it's found mainly between the forest and the mountains. it's very edible and very common on the mainlands. make sure that you wash it to get rid of some dirt that may be there. remember to identify them right, they might be poisonous.

it's currently been three days since they were left off and everybody is basically starving and extremely thirsty. nobody has figured out how to make a fire yet and nobody really made shelter; they all just slept underneath the palm trees for some shade from the sun. the government has not dropped off their only supply box yet, but is planning to sometime today; even though nobody really knows it. everyone is practically confused since they still haven't received the letter inside the box of supplies, and they all think that it's some kind of prank, or game. nobody's collected any food, or hunted. nobody has found any water either. everyone's just starting to get up. the weather and hot and sunny and it doesn't look like it'll be a cool, breezy night either.
