Zemira

Zemira was a bit startled when there was suddenly another jewel at her table, asking to sit down. She glanced at the pile if books in her hand and felt she's come off as rude if she said no. So, Zemira gingerly shook Salidju's hand with a shy smile. "Sure. I'm Zemira by the way.".

Chrono spoke a bit faster this time. "My sister Divine wanted to come here for lunch today, so I came along." He shrugged. "I've been watching too much TV lately, anyway..."
He wouldn't be quick to admit it, but he'd recently discovered Doctor Who and had been marathonning the show about the time traveling alien, and he even nicked a fez from the bowels of the mansion. For wearing in the privacy of his room, of course.
He had enough trouble socializing with anyone but Divine without revealing he was a complete dork.
But he was happy about Reika continuing the conversation. He'd been noticed.

"I see." she hadn't heard too much about Divine, only knowing
she was French and had butterfly wings instead of the standard set.
Reika sipped her coke nonchalantly, hesitation having taken toll on
her once more. "So, what's up?" she
didn't really know what subject to bring up next, deciding a general
topic would work best in this situation.

Chrono shrugged. "Not much," he murmured, eating another cookie. "Just getting a snack, since I wasn't overly hungry today. You?"
Conversation involved bouncing questions back and forth,. But he was terrible at coming up with his own, so he'd just bounce them back a bit literally. Eventually this got easier, right?
Divine was certainly good at it herself, gabbing it up with the others over there. He figured it was an acquired skill.

"I see. Just being too bored for my own good." she replied curtly,
taking a sip of her coke. She leaned back against her chair, taking a look
around the homely shop, hoping to draw some subject to talk about with
Chrono. "Um, Chrono, what's your favorite drink?" she asked, lifting her coke
to drink again.

Chrono thought for a moment. "Call me weird, but I like orange tea with sugar. Dunno why, just do," he answered, taking a sip of his tea afterwards. "Taking a wild guess here...your favorite drink is coke," he offered after a moment, attempting a joke.
He didn't know if Reika would appreciate the humor, but he hoped she would.

"Sounds good." she answered, drinking her coke once more.
She hadn't really known about teas, but she figured it was
strange for most; but if you liked it, you like it.
She chuckled. "How'd you guess?" she said sarcastically,
giggling again.

So she did appreciate the joke. Chrono grinned, impressed with himself for actually holding a successful conversation with laughter in it! With who was previously a total stranger!
"Hm, I had to read the signs in the stars and wait for the planets to align before it came to me," he rattled off, a laugh in his voice. "They told me there was a can of coke in your hand."

Reika laughed once more, enjoying this conversation. "Oh, did they?"
laughter laced her words as she spoke them. She sipped her coke again.

He was on a roll.
"They also said the sky is falling, so their accuracy is rather questionable. Also said something about a chosen one pulling a sword out of a rock. Crazy." He sipped his tea, ignoring the fact he was getting a bit weird. "I'd ask to hear it again to confirm, but they don't align again for 205 years, shame."
