It is very... rare for event pets to become even common. ^^;
For example the Shima BW bunny, this one was common, but the demand back then was more than crazy. I've yet to see an event pet becoming very common. So I highly highly doubt that we'll get an OMGSC ;3
The Medieval Faire white unicorn rat is still OMG so common after two years. ;3
Still, I can't see any of the pets from this year's event being above common, as there weren't any majorly over-represented pets that I can think of - the high token prices and fairly high variety in each group of pets kept most of them reasonably uncommon overall. The Mayor's House PPSes and the Barracks gryphons were probably the easiest to get for most people and were available very early on, so they're likely going to be the most common relative to the other Slumber Party pets.
The unicorn rat wasn't a token pet.
That's what I meant with event pets, sorry, I'm talking about the ones which you could get for trading in your tokens.

Actually there where at least four free pets. The nightmare dog and horse from the sandpile as well as pink and blue bunny. but they where the only free pets and you could only go to sand pile every 60 minutes.
Majority of items where free but most of them where tokens. the dream catchers bubbles armor. blue and purple swords where given too us as well as the bed sets. anything else was not exactly free you had to trade in tokens to get them.
I honestly think that there where too many token types.

So no
free free pets, where you didn't have to find them or trade in, like I said.
And yes I know but I wasn't talking about items, I was talking about pets. There were obviously lots of free items.
And I did get that feeling with the nightmares especially- I had a surplus of the nightmare type you
couldn't trade in for the nightmare pets at the lair, so that was a little annoying.

If you put it that way, then the unicorn rats weren't "free" either because you got them from the banner. owo

If you don't count 'hunt' pets as free, then I'm pretty sure there have never been fully free pets given out in any Summer Event.
Really, you can't compare the Summer Event to any other event type on CS - it's an entirely different animal. Everything in it requires either tokens or hunting (no 'free' pets like in the Hunts or Advent), there's a wide variety of tokens used (unlike the Hunts, which have only a few, and the Advent, which has none), the tokens are items in their own right (unlike the Hunts, which have very simple tokens of either eggs or candy), it's mostly luck which pets you get at each trade-in (unlike the Hunts where you generally know exactly what you're getting and can choose how many you want of each) and new pets/items are only added a few times during the event (unlike the Advent [daily gifts] or the Hunts [near-daily pets and items]). The only common points of reference are that they're all events, they all last about the same length of time, and all of them give lots of extra pets and items. The only events the Slumber Party one can be truly compared to are the Medieval Faire and the Beach Event, since those are the only ones with the same format. :3
