"While there might not be anything larger than you, there are still things larger than me. Like you, for instance. You don't have any reason to worry, Scar, but I still do.." The female carnotaur exhaled a large amount of a previous breath of the fine oxygen from her snout, blowing a few loose grains of sand around. "You're probably right about there being no more males. I honestly doubt that anymore of our species survived in these lands, after that meteor." She curled her body tighter toward herself, yawning slightly as she turned her gaze to stare off into the distance, waiting to fall asleep.

He watches her as she speaks, chuckling softly before getting to his feet and then walking over to where she was. Scar lays back down behind her, nudging her gently with his nose, "There may be things bigger than you, but I won't let them hurt you." He sighs softly and lays his big head over her back in a protective and comforting gesture, "I'm a little glad there aren't anymore males, I'm not really a fighter so I'd probably loose if one tried to fight me for you."

Ducky looked up "I've never seen a lunar eclipse... but apparently I hatched during one... that's the only thing I remember my parents telling me before they were killed in the meteor fall"

Ailis didn't pay much attention to Scar until she heard the brute stand up and approach her distanced position. The female carnotaurus tensed slightly as Scar settled back down behind her, feeling him nudge her gently with his snout. While she didn't move away from the male like she would have preferred to, she did murr her discomfort with an uneasy rumble in her chest. "Thank you, I think?" She replied, feeling the larger carnotaurus' head rest upon her back.
