A Dash of PepperSeeing Eclipse start to run, he bolted after her, stretching out his long strides to catch up to her. When he was next to her he nudged her gently, telling her he was here and asking her to stop so they could talk. As they came to a halt, he arched his neck again and trotted around her, looking over the mare who had no name to see if she was hurt. "Hey, you alright?" He snorted softly, his eyes concerned as he studied her.
Hearing a twig snap, the stallion turned his head to see another ebony mare, hearing a whinny, he frowned, watching as the mare whinnied back to the first whinny, which sounded as if it had come from a stallion. He cursed, the word inaudible as he nudged Eclipse. "I do not want another stallion to catch sight of an exquisite mare like yourself, let's go." Turning to face the other mare he tilted his head, his charcoal eyes searching her eyes to see if she would stay with the other stallion, or follow him and Eclipse.
Painted by the WindPainted paced back and forth in her meadow, feeling trapped as she did so. She didn't want to leave the safety of the clearing to go into the forest, but nor did she want to stay in a place where stallions could easily find her. The chestnut mare sighed, her head dropping to snuffle at the grass, sniffing for any scents that could warn her of another's presence. {Open.}
Silhouette at DuskDusk trotted along, searching for a familiar landmark, or a herd. Seeing nothing the mare sighed, her red mane whipping back and forth in the strong wind of the hill she was standing on, her brown eyes searching for life, or another presence. Figuring that no one would find her without a call, she let out a loud whinny, before going silent, her ears pricked and her eyes searching.{Open.}
