Salamance is a great pokemon but I think your team would be better off if you add a water-type so maybe gyrados

Sadly the last part of the game is over-water so I think I'm going to pass off Gyarados as a last resort and get a Bagon to level into a Salamence. I was thinking last night about whether to go for Salamence or Flygon and Salamence has better stats so I'll get one of them for my team.

Update on team after beating 8th gym leader:

-> Level 45 Sceptile
-> Level 45 Raichu
-> Level 45 Mightyena
-> Level 41 Gardevoir
-> Level 16 Skarmory [Leveling through Experience Share]

->-> Waiting on Sixth Party Member Salamence

-> Rare Candies x12

-> Assuming I will gain at least two levels on each member my full team will be at level 47/48 before I get to the Elite 4, using my rare candies most of my team should be at level 50. C:

Going to get my full team to level 45 before going to Ever Grande. ^_^

Not really, considering the fact that my team should be at the same level, if not higher levelled than the first Elite 4 member. They'll gain levels by battling them anyway and I do have my rare candies as well. ^^

Edit: Including the rival fights in "Victory Road".

If I don't reach level 50 I suppose I can grind for a bit. ^^

I still have the trick-master's house to go to for some last minute training as well. [I've already done the first three, four challenges?]

I think 50's enough to complete the E4 ; I managed it with one level 64 Swampert. The rest of my team sucked because I was on a bet with my sister

Gardevoir's level 44 from the Trick house and Skarmory is sitting on level 28. :D (Thanks for everyone's input. ^-^)
Yeah I think I'll be fine. Just needa get a Bagon to level... I'll see about re-matching previously thought trainers.
