Kaleel, always being up early to scout for the guardians and let them know where the prey is running swiftest, was already running through the forest only to be stopped by an unnatural sound. She was afraid, and not much scared her. "Something's not right..." she whispered to herself, spinning around almost on a dime. She ran as swiftly as she could back to camp, her white fur showing clearly.
Avelex was perched atop a split rock, his sides moving slowly in the pattern of sleep. He was completely unfazed by the loud sound that woke him. He simply stood and stretched, parting his jaws in a wide yawn. He felt his muscles and joints stretch out and relax and loosen. he loved the feeling, almost as much as a full belly.
Holland, who was more gentle than his friend and was sleeping on the ground, had lept up and was looking around with wild eyes. "What was that, Avelex?!" he nearly demanded, jumping when his friend landed beside him. The masked, heavily scarred Kayrah simply looked at him, gaze calm.
"You're right, I need to relax about this." Holland sighed, forcing himself to appear calm.
