im curious, is this basically parts of the story they didn't show in the first season before ciel dies? or does ciel get sprayed with pixie dust and comes back alive?

My first theory was blown up in flames though. I thought that maybe the Trancy family had something to do with Ciel's families death. Maybe not.

Hmm, what about if the procediure to suck out the soul went wrong, causing Ciel to forget everything. The contract was re-signed with Sebastian, and it's the whole song and dance again.

Or what if the angels weren't the killers of Ciel's parents, that's -maybe- why Sebastian -maybe- couldn't get Ciel's soul

Ciel feels dizzy after walking into Trancy's mansion. Maybe Trancy's mansion is built like Ciel's?

the Dizziness in the trancy mansion isnt really that important. It was just a memory that Ciel shouldnt have because he was packed in the trunk, but he does have it anyway.

I see. So Ciel didn't die. I thought when Sebastian took his soul, he died?
Was the contract not properly filled? And what is Alois' contract with Claude?

So then, lemme guess. Episode 5 is after the first episode, while 2, 3, 4 were before it
