What is a Mutato?

In a rapidly changing world of rapidly accumulating toxic waste, Mutatoes take to the sky.
These creatures, affectionately dubbed Mutatoes, are a sad combination of an unknown creature, radioactive material, and a potato.
They live in the sky and consume UV radiation. They are the new era of Super Man.

At birth Mutatoes are about the size of a potato and can grow to around the size of a basketball.
Generally they are busy creatures who would prefer flying to being carried.
The Mutato is filled with the same kind of gases that its tail is made of.
These gases are currently unidentified, but are lighter than air- enabling them to fly.
They can stay in the air for a maximum of 20 hours straight before they need to land and "rest".
Though, when they can't be in the air, Mutatoes pace... a lot.

The design is simple and soft,
so I wanted a name that would suit it and the musical theme.
And then Piper came into my mind.
The bottom half of the image seemed like wood which
reminds me of the wooden flute that a piper plays.
The music notes coming out of the flower in the upper half of the design,
reminds me of the scenes in the cartoons where when
someone played a flute a flow of music notes would appear.
So, I really think that Piper is a beautiful name for her.

++Reason for choosing the name: A lyre is what you use to hold music, so of course it's fitting. XD
For me, music holds hope. Not just "oh yay ipod listen woo" but, you know, making it. I had been in the same band with the same school for three years. Right around now is when band camp is running, and I can't partake. Im going to be stuck somewhere unfamiliar, with a bunch of strangers. I hope that band can allow me to make new friends though, even if it's only formed by shared experiences. Music holds that little bit of hope for me, that life moves on.

Reason for Choosing the Name; My extra is her hobby, which is music writing, so "Lyric" seemed perfect for her. Her design just says Lyric

Mutato's favourite song; Paradise by Coldplay

Extra; mutato's hobby Lyric's hobby would be song-writing, or composing. The music notes design made me think of this. She spends hours in her room at her window seat, scribbling away in her notebook while listening to "Paradise"
