How about a dragon based off of Eragon and his dragon, Saphira? I just watched the movie (again) and I think they could make at least one great JMD design c:

My JMD, Eragorn, is loosely based off of Eragon, but since Saphira is a solid color I don't really know how you'd make her interesting.

Well, Saphira isn't one solid color. On the cover of the book, her face lightens. Also, the bottom of her neck, tail, and her underbelly is lighter as well. Some people also see her wing membrane as a lighter shade of blue as well. These colors and simple markings could be incorporated into the design, and perhaps the mark of a Rider could be in the design as well.

Also, I think you misinterpreted what I said before. Seeing as they are connected, I think there should be one design based off of them both.
