Richard Thwaite
His team had laid down the rules on this one - basically, no being the cocky so and so that he was. Just charm the ladies and make sure that Nathan had a chance to chuck some poison in a drink. Something like that...

Richard knew the first bit however, he was wearing a blue boiler suit and waiting near the back entrance. He shrugged a bit and pushed his fake glasses back onto his nose as the back door was opened, "Health and Safety, emergency visit." Richard pulled out his ID. "I know where to go, I'll be in and out in about ten minutes." Richard smiled as the man let him pass, and he made his way towards where the electric panel room was - he'd studied the plans back at HQ and knew where to go. The man on the door left him to himself, and as soon as Richard was sure he wasn't going to be followed, he changed his route to the bathroom.

Under the boiler suit which he stuffed into a trash can, was a black two piece suit, white shirt and tie. He smoothed down his clothes and made his way back out, this time, instead of heading to the back door he headed towards the party. He picked up two glasses of champagne from the nearest waiter's plate and started making his way through the crowds. He tapped Nathan's shoulder when he found the man, the leaned against his shoulder for a moment while he sorted out his cuff links. "I wish I could actually get invited to these parties like you do. That way I don't have to bother sneaking in." He passed a glass of champagne to Nathan while taking a sip from his own glass. "They should give up not inviting me, I'm gonna come anyway."

He stood up now, no longer leaning against Nathan. "You are better at knowing celebrities. Which one's the target? Who's Natalie Green?... Is this champagne free all night? It's goooooood." Playfully he clinked his glass against Nathan's as he looked around the party. They were stood in some elegant hall in London - Richard had forgotten the name of the place and how little he cared about the name. The party was in aid of a charity that supported dogs for the blind - Richard had chucked two twenty pound notes in one of the buckets outside already. But everyone in the room was expected to pay thousands and thousands of pounds before the end of the night - that was the whole purpose of the party. Dusk's purpose of being there was something else entirely.

Natalie Green was a high profile woman, one who in secret helped rig elections in other countries - and someone was willing to pay a great deal of money for Natalie's end. It wouldn't be hard, the plan was to get Nathan to drop some poison in her drink and then by the time Nathan and Richard had gotten away, the poison would have begun to set in. Richard liked working with Nathan on missions like this - mostly for the free booze - but also because he got on well with Nathan. He got on well with most people after all, Richard wasn't an assassin, therefore people felt like they could trust him a bit more than they trusted the assassins in the group. And if you ever asked Richard if he trusted the assassins in Dusk he'd nod and say 'completely, because I know they'd only kill me if I was a threat to the human race... Or if I cheat at poker again...'.

Richard pressed his earpiece and then scratched his ear as if it were a normal gesture. It would allow him to contact the people back at headquarters and the three people waiting outside. Elizabeth, Rae and Tanya were probably sat in the cushioned chairs in the headquarters with a huge bowl of strawberries and chocolate. Rae would likely have a laptop on her lap ready to do some hacking, while the other two would be ready to return Richard's cockiness with insults. While Jane, John and Thomas would be waiting outside in case things got hairy. John and Thomas were pretty good at fighting after all, and though Jane excelled in fighting she was also the only person in the group who could actually drive a motorboat... Which was their getaway. Richard was still trying to talk Jane into letting him have a go at driving it. "Anyone on the comms? Can you see where Natalie is? Has she arrived yet?"

        RAE LOUISE ANNE DEVRO

Rae sat on the sofa with her legs crossed and music blaring through the speakers of the head quarters. They had tried to protect their system from being hack, but it was merely a small bump in the road for her. Rae had hacked the headquarters main computer within seconds and had added a long playlist of music to the mainframe. Now that music was being pumped through the whole building's speaker system. It was annoying almost everyone and that barely even phased Rae.People should have gotten use to not having any peace and quiet by now. Her fingers flew over the keyboard at lightning speeds, never hitting the wrong key. The screen was a jumble of letters and numbers that quadrupled every second. "Almost there. Hey, do you think Richard will bring us some champagne back. It so unfair that they get to enjoy the good stuff while we are forced to sit her and do all the work." Her tone was harsh as she glared at the screen. She didn't care if anyone heard her or not.

Richard's voice came through, loud and clear. "Rae here. You know, Dusk really needs a better firewall for the headquarters. It took me like five seconds to hack into it. It's pathetic. An amature could hack it. Wait make that a blind amature with only one finger." It was one of those days were she just could keep her mouth shut. She tapped her screen impatiently as she waited for the worm she had planted to work it's magic. After a few seconds, the picture on the screen divided into several security feed. "Finally! Moving to main screens. "With a stroke of the enter the images were sent to the main screen that cover the entire north wall. "No need to thank me. Just doing my job." She leaned back and admired her handy word.

ELIZABETH "lizzie" KESSLER

Powdering her nose in the bathroom, the blonde looked at herself in the mirror before sighing. "What the hell have you gotten yourself into, Lizzie?" She muttered, before dropping the make up into her clutch bag and snapping it shut. It never hurt to look good, and in her profession? Well, looks were everything. That and a charismatic personality. Smirking slightly to herself, Elizabeth turned on her heel and headed out of the bathroom.

Time to get herself accustomed to her other job.

She loved being a television host. It was great. It had such perks that you probably couldn't get with any other job. Well, aside from Nathan's. One such perk were the free clothes - she was wearing a gorgeous peach skirt suit that she had been given the day before. Not that any of her colleagues would notice, but it was nice to feel pretty. Taking a deep breath before she opened the door into the main room of the headquarters, Lizzie could already hear the blasting music that meant that Rae was already set up. She checked her watch and groaned. Two minutes late. That wouldn't put them behind schedule, right? Hoping that it didn't, she pushed the door open and tottered in on heels.

"Sorry I'm late." Lizzie said, apologetic smile already forming on her lips, before she grabbed her comms unit from the table and delicately placing it on her head, careful not to mess up her hair. There was a chance that she could be seen after this, and she was, of course, in the public eye most of the time. It seemed like she had arrived just in time, as no sooner was the comms unit settled, than Richard's voice crackled onto the line.

Listening carefully to Rae's response, Elizabeth turned to the wall opposite the sofa that Rae was, seemingly, camped on. "Lizzie here too. Rae wants you to bring back champagne." A smile playing on her lips, Lizzie managed to glance over at her colleague behind her, before returning to the wall. The wall had several TVs on, and the scenes from the gala were playing on every single screen. Scanning them for her target, Lizzie finally told them. "The News Teams have been told that she's planning on arriving late - you know, so that everyone knows she's arrived and is ready to donate money for the guide dogs for the blind cause. Natalie is all about the publicity. Rumour is that someone in her family is benefiting." The last part was mainly trivial, but everything was relevant. They had to be briefed on everything - even if it was just some gossip that was going around the news stations. "Yep, that's confirmed by what I'm seeing. She isn't there yet, I'll let you know when we see her."

Eyes permanently scanning the screens, Lizzie crossed her arms, ready to give any advice to the people in the field. "I was invited to that party." She murmured, too quietly for anyone to pick up on, even if they were paying attention to her. She supposed that it was a good thing she wasn't going to the party - but she really did love the socialising aspect of her job. "Now, Nathan. Don't be a twit. And I'm just warning you, before you decide to say some snarky comment back."

{{ Okay, so she sounds more brat-ish than I wanted her to be. Sorry about that. And she seems to be very self-obsessed. Again, I apologise, but no matter how many times I rewrite this, she sounds just as bad. Just trying to get used to her, I guess. \: It's a bit long too. }}

            JANE AMBER PETERS
      - - - - - - - -Jane was stationed next to Thomas, sitting on the stone wall that overlooked the Thames bank. Her green eyes were skittering along the side walks, checking for both the arrival of their target and trouble. John was stationed a few metres along the wall, the group having decided that it would look less suspicious to have a couple figure - Jane and Thomas - and a singular figure - John - instead of all three of them in a group. Through her earpiece, Jane could hear everything that was going on and she was grateful; not knowing what was happening was something that scared Jane, a fundamental fear almost built into her by the way she was raised. She could hear faint music in the background, coming from both HQ and the hall across the street, the occasional stutter of static, talking and laughter from Richard and Nathan and, sometimes, the sound of Rae typing furiously fast. It would have been relaxing if it wasn't for the facts they were here to assassinate someone, Jane never completely relaxed and Richard refused to keep his joking off the comms. It wasn't that she didn't mind it was just... a lot of the time, if it was directed at her, she wasn't sure how to respond and she didn't always get it either. Sure, Jane could kill someone in over five different ways with only a plastic spoon but, sarcasm? Irony? Banter? The assassin had no idea. It didn't help that Nathan wasn't there.
      - - - - - - - -"No sign of her out here, either." The auburn-haired girl provided, answering Richard's question once Elizabeth had finished her explanation. "No one was going to thank you Rae." Jane spoke without thinking, the words blunt but with no malice behind them. Jane didn't understand that what she had said would usually be malicious. Instead she was more focused on looking over her shoulder and checking their get away - which she had to drive - was still moored and that, if she had to jump down to it, nothing had been blown onto or across the small deck. "Ako ta žena ne stigne uskoro, ubit ću je čim ona dobiva iz automobila." She spoke the Croatian quietly, unwilling to say what she was thinking aloud in English. She would have said it in Russian but she was pretty sure one of the others was almost fluent and she was teaching Nathan, slowly, how to speak it too.

ᴛʜᴏᴍᴀs ʜᴀʀᴅʏ Eyes half hooded in a lazy expression, Thomas was only slightly less relaxed than usual but was doing a good job of hiding it. Why so many of them were needed for this mission he didn't know. Unless the poison man, Nathan, screwed up. Thomas doubted that, though; the other man was quite good at his job. Although he was still a little butt hurt at people thinking he couldn't drive a motor boat and was good naturedly trying to convince Jane to let him drive when they made their break. "How hard can it be? Steering wheel and gas pedal, right?!" He wasn't taking this mission too seriously, it was obvious, but at least he was keeping his sarcastic comments off the

Watching Jane speak, Thomas did not do anything to convince any passerbys that they were anything more than a young couple talking out their concerns on a romantic evening overlooking the Thames River. Maybe he would add a little neck nuzzle or hand hold in if he felt they were in danger of being recognized as anything different. Nathan would poison his nightcap if he tried anything more than that, though, he knew amusedly. Such a shame he would piss him off either way in the end. Thomas liked Nathan despite his jealousy toward the model's ease in getting in at the parties and getting all the good looking women. It wasn't a bad jealousy, though. More like one between brothers.

Thomas got plenty of good looking women. But the parties he got invited to were usually a little more underground. The people a little less known in the public eye. And the women were just as fishy and dangerous as they pretended not to be. They needed to be to live in that kind of world.

(Sorry for the horrific post. I wanted to pop something off before I left for work. The others will be better!)

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

NATHAN
HOUSTON

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
-------the parties were becoming quite predictable. they were boring. nathan was used to being invited to them and spending most of his night being spoken to by rich men and women, and he was quite familiar with some of the women flirting with him. but, despite the smile he plastered on his face, he hated them. or at least he had, before dusk had shown up. now things were... different. the adrenaline rush he got from fooling a mark was worth it; it was worth spending his time mingling amongst people he really did not desire to be around. in fact, if he had his way, he'd rather have been at home - preferably, with jane. unfortunately, he had a job to do.
-------"hey," nathan greeted his colleague with a quick nod of his head, accepting the champagne with an amused smile. it was almost too easy. no matter where the party was, richard always managed to find a way in. "where would be the fun in that?" he chuckled, taking a sip from his drink as he surveyed the room. at the mention of natalie green, the target, he became a little more alert, recovering from his lapse upon richard's arrival. there was no sign of her yet, however. but he knew vaguely who to look out for.
-------nathan was vaguely aware of richard using his earpiece, but his main focus was on the room. he caught the eye of a couple of people as he looked around, throwing them friendly smiles to keep up appearances. but he always moved on, searching the faces in the room for one that belonged to their target. "she's not here yet, relax." he said, finally turning his head to look at richard once again. soon after he heard rae talking in his earpiece. she was babbling a little, something about firewalls - he didn't pay much attention. then there was lizzie, updating them on their target and her apparent late arrival. "me? 'snarky'?" he muttered, amusement flickering across his face. he kept his voice low so as not to give himself away - although, if anyone did notice it appeared that he was talking with richard - but he couldn't help the short laugh that escaped him. "you wound me, lizzie." he replied, fake hurt in his voice.
-------then came the voice that he had been waiting for; jane's. nathan wasn't exactly happy about leaving her with thomas, but he trusted the guy to be professional. still, he couldn't help the green monster that reared it's head anytime jane was near another guy. usually he did a good job of hiding it. however, when she spoke next, it wasn't in english. it wasn't in russian either, which he knew to be her first language. he wasn't quite sure what language she'd been talking in, but he guessed it to be a slavic language of some sort. but whatever it was, the fact that she didn't say it in english - or any language that any of them knew - was a bad sign. "well, isn't it nice to have the family all together again?" the young man smiled, drinking the last of his champagne in one gulp. even with the alcohol in his system, he was confident he'd still be alert and able to do his job. he just didn't believe in being uptight about it. who said murder couldn't be fun?

      ooc: ok, that last line makes me seem a little psychotic, but i promise you i'm not. c;

JOHN DOE

John stood alone amongst everyone trying to get in outside. Cameras flashed and paparazzi shouted. It was starting to kind of get on his nerves. He sighed then pressed his earpiece to turn it on. After a few seconds voices started buzzing over the comm. He smirked as Richard made his comment then Rae retorted with another. "Hey Rae if the firewall is so bad why don't you create one for us? I know I know I'm a genius." He smiled. He wasn't really the one you catch over the comm a lot. He was the silent killer. Not knowing who he was had a big impact on his personality. He had to reinvent his entire self. He saw a movie last year called GI Joe. He acted like a kid but found a connection with the character Snake Eyes. That's why he calls himself the silent killer.

After a few minutes he began scanning the crowd. He looked over to Thomas and Jane making sure they were at their posts but never made eye contact. He didn't want anyone seeing them and making any assumptions that they knew each other. He was used to being alone. No one really knew who he was. Heck he didn't even know. It made him the odd one out. But it didn't bother him. He preferred working alone. Then the annoying yells of the paparazzi got worse. He looked over to where all the commotion was coming from and sure enough a long white limo was pulling up. He smiled then pushed his way through the crowd. He walked around the building and cut through the alley. "Hey guys our target has arrived. I'm making my way around back to make sure everything is "A" ok." He made his way to the back exit and luckily there were no guards posted in the back.

No one knows he's an assassin apart from Dusk - because Dusk works in secret and they don't recruit well known assassins.

[terrible first post coming through. sorry this took so long]

TANYA MARIA ASLETTA
With a phone pressed to her ear, Tanya paced along the corridor outside where Elizabeth and Rae were currently stationed at the comms unit. She hadn't liked the idea of leaving her son, especially when it was so late at night and he prefered it when she was the one tucking him into bed and reading him a bedtime story. In fact, she was currently talking to him on the phone, laughing quietly as he began to rave on about some television show he had seen and Tanya rolled her eyes to herself. Like any six year old, Kai was always active and, from the sounds of the boy's breathlessness, he was likely running around whilst talking to his mother.

"Okay, Kai, that's enough. Put the babysitter on the phone, it's time for you to go to bed," she said, scolding him slightly as she added, "It's already late; you shouldn't still be up."
"But mum," he whined and Tanya couldn't help but laugh.
"But nothing, Kai. Mummy will be home soon," she replied lightly, pausing in her pacing at the sound of him sighing followed by a half-hearted, 'okay'. "Hey, Kai?" she said hastily just as he was about to hand the phone to the babysitter, "I love you, okay?"
There was a short pause. "I love you too, mummy, now I have to go-"
Tanya couldn't help but laugh as she nodded to herself. "Alright, goodnight Kai," she said before the phone was passed to the babysitter and her tone became slightly colder. "Make sure you read to him. He won't be able to sleep otherwise. And make sure to leave his night light on and check on him every half an hour till I'm home," she said, not allowing the poor woman a moment to speak or acknowledge her words before she hung up and slipped her phone into her pocket.

Tucking her cropped black hair behind one ear, Tanya sighed before slipping into the comms room and perching on the spar available seat beside Elizabeth. "Apologies for my lateness," she muttered before slipping on her own headset to listen in on the 'action' though remained silent as she observed the screens before them and overheard their conversations. Part of her mind was still focused on Kai and how she wished she was at home with him. She didn't trust anyone to look after her boy but knew she had no choice and she couldn't very well bring him here. She also knew better than to totally shut everything out and so she decided to keep her eyes alert for any signs of the target.
