"So what are these LTD things?"
- What are Long Tailed Dragons you ask? Why, they're furry little bundles of joy that are no more than the measure of your longest finger to the palm of your hand. They're a magical being that reside and protect certain places of the globe, and each place comes its own niche or position along with the environment.
Earth, Water, Fire, Air, Spirit, and Death. Spirit and Death Long Tailed Dragon's are exceptionally rare, however, and will often disappear with only a trace of some type of magical dust behind.
Lets get this straight now. They're super smart as in, they can talk in human tongue easily - at least four different languages I mite add though their voices are a little higher than a humans mite be. They can have almost all the same likes and dislikes of a human or more. Some like human food well others enjoy wild game like insects and bugs. A LTD's magic is a defense mechanism used to ward off predators or to startle their prey. Their magic comes from their horns you see, and the shorter the horns the less magic they can weld. Long Tailed Dragons are ferret-like in nature and they love hording small treasures they like in small holes in the ground or in tree trunks.
When a Long Tailed Dragon is taken in by a human they're very loyal to that one person. They won't go easily if given away, and will tend to become emotionally unstable if their owner is away from them for too long. They're are given items to wear by their owners to keep them content and if they lose these items there's a large chance they will never return, or they will become something they were not before.
Adoption Rules/Regulations;
- ==> Customs are only allowed to my full-time artists, guest artists and those who I've selected to be allowed customs.
==> Forms posted under an adoptables info are to be used/referenced when trying to win them.
==> You cannot gift your LTD to anyone yourself. If you decide you don't want one of your LTDs send a message to me or the artist of your LTD saying you'd like to give it back along with any artwork you have of it. If you decide to do this however you will not be able to adopt another LTD tell the next months pets are out.
==> At least one piece of drawn art-work is mandatory to win your Long Tailed Dragon UNLESS it's under the form it states that artwork is not needed.
==> There's a limit to 6 LTDs per user.
==> No more than 5 items may be requested to place on your LTD.
==> If a LTD isn't adopted by its artists designated time - there being too many wips and not enough finished, no likable forms - they will go to The Shelter where people can message the artist of the LTD with a form saying their Name, Gender[if not already decided] and one thing about the character which could be personality, likes, dislikes, a past time... Anything. And out of these one lucky person will be picked at random to take home that LTD that's in the shelter. The previous owner will not get this Dragon back, even if they enter.
==> Some items are not allowed to be placed on your LTDs such as;
- Hats
- Extra hair {unless an event pet}
- Vests/jackets/sweatshirts
- Pants
- Dresses
- Shoes
==> Be polite if you don't get the LTD you want! It's not the artists fault if you didn't win - they just picked someone else instead. You'll get another chance!
==> My artists as well as my mods and admins are responsible for this tread if I'm ever away. Listen to them! They know what they're doing.
==> This species says on Chicken Smoothie. The only exception is if you upload artwork of them on DA or some website of that nature.
==> You are allowed to drop out, though please notify BEFORE judging happens otherwise that will resort into an automatic disqualification. This also applys for "work in progress" forms as well. If you're not going to be able to finish say "dropping out" otherwise it will count as a disqualification.
You cannot apply for another Long Tailed Dragon for a minimum of one day if you are disqualified from a contest.
You are also unable to adopt a dragon from The Shelter if you are disqualified tell your 24 hours are up.
