`Prophet!' said I, `thing of evil! - prophet still, if bird or devil! -
Whether tempter sent, or whether tempest tossed thee here ashore,
Desolate yet all undaunted, on this desert land enchanted -
On this home by horror haunted - tell me truly, I implore -
Is there - is there balm in Gilead? - tell me - tell me, I implore!'
Quoth the raven,
`Nevermore.'
-Edgar Allen Poe
within the black hollow eyes
i could see it's dark heart full of despise
on bare bone wings, few ebony feathers clung
with the voice of a raven it sung
"all these crimson tears i cry
are for those yet to die"
it's body meek and thin
it continued with a ghostly grin
"so much blood you have shed
my blood tears are from the dead
remember what i have said"
it shrieked at me, the worst i feared
and with that it just...
...disappeared...
i could see it's dark heart full of despise
on bare bone wings, few ebony feathers clung
with the voice of a raven it sung
"all these crimson tears i cry
are for those yet to die"
it's body meek and thin
it continued with a ghostly grin
"so much blood you have shed
my blood tears are from the dead
remember what i have said"
it shrieked at me, the worst i feared
and with that it just...
...disappeared...
