I was filling out some character development form a few months ago and there was some question along the lines of "What's your best memory?" and I pretty much wrote out the scene for this picture. Just now, I decided to draw it since it seemed like it would be cute. The original scene is supposed to have both him and his mother in it, but honestly, his mother has no set appearance yet, so I'm just going to draw her hand holding his and act like she's in the picture.
The character is Tomare from when he was around seven years old (pfft, he's so much more adorable as a little kid). Since it's meant to be a memory, I'll either be coloring/shading it in sepia tone or faded colors.
He is holding his mother's hand but I have never drawn people holding hands before, so I apologize for the sloppiness. He's supposed to be holding a mochi (those delicious little jelly-ish things filled with ice cream). Pfft, I really want one right now, but I don't have any at the moment.
This is obviously still a work in progress, I still need to finish the line art, add color and shade. Hopefully this will be alright for Intermediate once I'm finished.
The timer is correct. The character belongs to me and was designed by ChitChatCafe on dA.

Alright, I think I'm finished with this now. The colors are off because it's meant to look more like a faded memory than an actual scene. The timer is probably about 45 minutes off by now. Hopefully this is Intermediate worthy, I don't really post here often but I decided to this time since I was going to be drawing a full background and such. I actually originally meant this to be just a sketch and was going to draw it with my tablet, but since my tablet pen went missing, I decided to do a full drawing with a laptop touchpad mouse (because I can't sketch with a mouse).

Aww cute. You're getting better with proportion ^_^

Thanks. ^^ I have noticed some proportion issues with this drawing and had others pointed out to me as well, but those are just points for me to improve on with my next few drawings. I generally have a lot of problems with proportion in my art since I zoom in on particular areas when drawing and often don't compare those sections to the rest of the drawing until it's too late to make any major edits.
