This roleplay is very loosely based off of a movie, Now You See Me. It follows some of the same concept but don't worry, you don't have to see the movie to be apart of this rp.

You're a street magician in New York, though you can do more than merely pull a rabbit out of a hat and play around with card decks. Some can light up towers with a click of their fingers, hypnotize multiple groups of people at a time and even move around without being noticed. When all four street magicians in New York get a card inviting them over to the same place, what will happen?

Ƥɛяƨσиαℓιтʏ; Outgoing, brave, flirtatious and loyal and the simplest terms to describe Areth. Though if we dig deeper, we find more emotion, of a rough past and a criminal life. The happiness is usual just a mask but Aretha doesn't like to dwell in the past, so leaves it at that. She's a very social young woman with the tendency to screw up events with her clumsiness. Areth usually likes to mess with "The Heart," and play pranks on him very so often. She is also a massive taker of chances. She takes risks and new heights, sometimes risking her life in the process. Which, of course, ended her up with the name, "The Gambler," as her magician title.

Ƥɛяƨσиαℓιтʏ; "Most call me quiet and shy but if I could preform in front of that many people on the streets why would I be shy? I just have no reason to talk all the time."

Matt is very independent and can accomplish things better on his own. He is not a social butterfly like other people and he prefers to keep his acts to himself. He is very deep, intense person, there is always more then meets the eye. He presents a cool, detached and unemotional air to the world yet lying underneath is tremendous power, extreme strength, intense passion and a strong will and a persistent drive. Matt has a very penetrative mind, do not be surprised if he asks questions, as he is just trying to delve deeper, figure things out and survey the situation. He always want to know why, where and any other possible detail he can possibly know. Never lie to him though, because he will never forgive you and he will never forget, he may even go as far as to play cruel practical jokes or trash your reputation, so be careful not to cross him.

His performances will always be filled with tricks of the mind, things that make you wonder how he did it after. From this he took the name "The Illusionist" as he loved watching peoples confused and bewildered expressions as they left his show. He always tries to change his routine, making it different and new every time.

ｔｒｉｃｋｓ ｉｎ ｄｅｐｔｈ- ella, a brilliant actress and quite intelligent, is very skilled at any and all magic having to do with mentalism. with lucky guesses, small gimmicks, and slight of hand, not to mention her charming front, people fall for her tricks every time. ella's not easily fooled by illusions or slight of hand, as she's magnificent at both herself. however, there will be nothing but disastrous results from card tricks. one of ella's strong suits has to do with manipulating others, tricking them through touch, words, or a combination of the two.
ｐｅｒｓｏｎａｌｉｔｙ- ella gets her kicks from 'entertaining' others and tricking them into believing she can read minds, predict the future, and 'all that fun stuff', as she puts it. also pickpocketing people- and usually returning everything back to them-, she knows the basic workings of the mind of the average human being- simplistic and easily manipulated. however, her outlook on fellow magicians is much different, and ella views them as above the rest of the civilization, as, like her, they're generally quite intelligent, and, well, good at tricking people. she loves a good challenge, as well, and loves trying to trick people in other fields of magic. while ella is loyal, she's also very mistrusting, and her warm, comforting personality is just a cover for the cold, calculating, cynical woman underneath. she wouldn't reveal even the simplest trick she knows even to an aspiring magician, because she had to figure it all out on her own. she's most definitely brilliant in dealing with others, though she really only trusts people she's known for a long time, or other magicians. when she opens up to you, it's easy to elicit a smile from even the simplest of jokes or tricks, and she loves to joke around, especially with witty comments, sarcasm, and dry humour.
