Nye smiled as it finished its work. "There, done." It took a step back and handed Selene another leaf. "That'll help with the pain to come." It nodded. "Anything else before I comman you two hours rest?"

She shook her head, taking the leaf and starting to chew it. “No. Thanks...”, she said quietly.

Nye shrugged. "Then I'll go get your squeamish friend." It turned to leave but it stopped.
"I'M NOT SQUEAMISH!" Death shouted, pushed both doors open and letting them hit the wall with a bang. "And I don't need you to go get me! I never leave a friend behind!"
"You left me with the Dead Men..." Nye muttered.
"I said friend." She reminded and sat beside Selene. "How'd it go. I didn't hear any screaming so I think it went better than I expected."

The sheet she was laid on was covered in blood and Selene shrugged. “It was painless I guess...” One hand went to her wrist where there was a sweatband to hide her cuts and burns.

Death noticed instantly and her eyes zeroed in. "You seriously okay? What's the band for?" An eyebrow raised.

“Um...I- I just like it, its a nice band...”, she said. Her voice sounded hollow to her ears.

Death took a deep breath. "Okay, I won't press but, you can tell me." She smiled. "I'm good when it comes to friends."

"And if I believed everyone who said that to me, I'd be blown up, poisoned, chopped up and murdered too many times to count." Death told her sadly.
