Onyx was humming to herself as helped make the dinner chopping up some of the veggies and fruits for the salad as well as boiling the crab. That wouldn't go into the salad but it would make a nice side dish for whoever wanted to eat something besides the salad

she sighed and looked at him "so what you want me to cook "she asks

Drift smiled and took all the chocolate out of his bag and put it into a bowl then started to melt it down into a paste, while that was cooking he took the biscuit tins and cream cheese and started to open the biscuit tins, the loud sounds of popping the tins raddled through the entire base he laughed and said,"Woah, when my mother made these the tins weren't nearly this loud. These humans are crazy about keeping their stuff fresh."

He thought; "Well we need someone to toss the salad and boil some of the veggies." He told her as he reached above his head and grabbed a pot and then a shallow bowl for the salad. Shawn enjoyed cooking, it almost made him feel accepted in a way.

Onyx finished up chopping the veggies that were to be boiled "these ones are ready to be boiled" she said to the girl. Onyx still didn't know her name and frankly he wasn't to inclined to find out what it is. For some strange reason she couldn't pin point she didn't really care about it. So after she said that Onyx remained silent trying to finish up the rest of what she was doing in a way that would make it taste great. Before the purge her mother used to work a a good restaurant that Onyx always thought if as being a 5 star restaurant but it was probably about 3 or 4 stars. Getting back to the point her mother had taught her to cook well when she was a child before the purge.

Drifter started to fill up the biscuits in cream cheese and put them in the chocolate while he got out a cake pan to put them in, he then grabbed some tongs and grabbed the hot chocolate covered biscuits into the cake pan and preheated the oven to 360 degrees. He then started on the frosting.

It did not take him long to make the salad so he place all the salad leaves and veggies into the bowl along with Onyx's portion. "That salad is looking good already.." He said as he ruffled Onyx's hair; "Whats wrong? Your not normal silent.." He said passing by her to go get some toppings for the salad.

Onyx looked up at Shawn as he ruffled her hair "Thanks" she said hearing his question as he passed her about being quiet and shrugged "I dunno. I guess I have nothing to say that's all" she answered him working on the now boiling crab.
