Ren heard Storm and landed beside him, his converse making a muffled thump on the ground. He stood beside him, his gaze soft with an eyebrow raised. "what's going on?" Ren asked, looking over at Jinx, then the puppy.

Sighing softly I pulled his arm away from his face and wiped his tears. "It's ok. I'm so sorry." I could never kill him. Well, I could but not in cold blood. Not like this. He deserved a chance. There was no way he could have known how terrible the school really was. When I saw Ren I groaned and went back to wiping away the tears that just kept flowing. "He went back to the school. There...there's another chip." My voice cracked a bit but I forced myself to keep my own tears at bay not knowing why I felt so guilty.

Ren sighed and looked at Crystal. "can you go get Ronnie and Varen please?" he asked and let himself slide to his knees beside Storm. Ren ruffled the Eraser's hair slightly, then grabbed the knife, ready to get the chip out.

Normally storm might have found fascination in the tail, but he wasn't in the mood. "The-the knife is o-over there" he said under sobs, then realized that Ren already had it. He looked up at him wih sorry eyes.

Ren had promised not to hurt him, but this was different. He paused, really not wanting to draw Storm's blood, but he was forced. With a simple movement, he swiped the dagger across his arm. Ren winced for him, closing his eyes for a moment.
