My more rational side knew who he really was, but all rationality had been thrown out the window the moment his scent met my nose. Storm stumbled back as Jinx pounced on him. He regained his balance quickly and looked at Jinx. She acted like they had been best friends since birth. She had her arms wrapped around him tight. He decided 'why not.' And wrapped his arms around her in a warm embrace.

It took all of thirty seconds for me to regain some semblance of rational thought and the moment I did, my ears dropped and my lips pulled back in a beyond angry snarl. I pushed the stupid mutt away and took a few steps back keeping fiery blue orbs on him the entire time. "I hate you so much." It was the only thing I could think to say. I felt betrayed all over again. This was nothing more than a huge lie.
