Um, I'm sorry if I didn't respond kindly. I wasn't trying to call you a bad person or anything, or that you're bad for breaking the law.
If you don't show it to anyone underage or you just write it for yourself, then it's fine and I'm not going to judge you.
It would be an interesting story, just not one I myself would read.
Also, you asked for opinions, so really, you'd have to expect getting a plot suggestion as well. If you'd have just said no, then I'd be okay. You just seemed to shoot it down and I wanted to put in my two cents, especially because it seemed like it was directed to another user. I don't really care if you like it or think it's dumb. You can choose what you wanted to do, and I'm sorry if I turned you off on the idea. I do notice that I sounded like it was commanding you to change it, which wasn't really my intent.
Edit: I also said apparently, I didn't say you DID for sure. I think it's fine you like controversial books, more do need to be put out there.

*sobs* i wasn't breaking the law! it was just an idea.. i've written nothing on it and now i won't.
and no, an opinion is "do you like this idea or would you read it?" not "will you please offer totally different plot changes and plot suggestions even though i've already got a plot?" and no, i didn't shoot it down. i acknowledged that i didn't explain enough and you kept going. i never said if i liked it or not. i was objecting to you saying "well, I see a plot" okay, that's great! good for you! all i'd been saying was that i saw no plots that i was interested in or that i'd find even mildly interesting to write.
i'd apologize and tell you that i'm getting shot down on another site for worrying about my brother possibly being dyslexic but i'd probably just get a snarky "well don't put it on other people". i'd apologize and tell you that i'm an infp and have issues taking criticism because i get my feelings hurt easily but it would sound stupid. i'd apologize and say that for a while now i've made myself cry because i feel like i can't write and none of my writing is good, no matter what it's about, but it really doesn't matter. so i'm just going to say that i'm done with this conversation. so done. i won't be writing anything for that now. okay? i won't write anything controversial. i won't offer my worries or my plot ideas and i certainly won't be letting people see my emotions, worries or hear what kind of plots and characters and worlds i can make up. i'm done with this, goodbye.

It sounds like a pretty interesting plot idea, actually. I probably wouldn't read it (I think I have a bit of an immature taste in books, lol) but I think a lot of older people would enjoy something like that. And you shouldn't worry about the whole 'adult content' thing - I bet there are books a lot worse than that out there. :3

I personally wouldn't read it, like rottweiler, but I agree with Maerorem Lestrange. It'd be fine to be published as long as it wasn't shown as a children's book.

[ if i can post now, which i believe i can, i wanna say something which conflicts with a few people's views here. and, as you can probably tell by this post, i'm horrendous at speaking in more social situations.
@ opia. if you decided to write up anything on that idea (with your intentions), then i would read it. every word of it. and, i agree with you on the basis that there pretty much every plotline now is the same idea pretty much. it honestly sounds like a brilliant idea.
even though you said you were done with this i'm sorry ]

Well in case someone
stupid only skims the plot and reads 11 year old and is like "Oh this'll be perfect for my child to read" but I'd assume most people would know better

opia. wrote:fine, i won't write it. i wasn't intending it to be sexual in any way, he has the obsession to just marry her and protect her as a husband, nothing sexual, but if it's illegal, i won't write it. and what i meant was that i don't see a plot. if you see a plot, fine. you write it. i don't take plots from other people except for fanfiction and i wasn't asking for a contradiction by you saying that you saw a plot. okay, that's fine. you write it. thanks for the help.
and i don't like "kinky" or creepy-sexual things as i take from your second part about what i like. i just like interesting and controversial books because there's way too many overused plots out there that are, to me, boring.
I actually think it could be pretty neat. Maybe I'm wrong, but I've never heard of a law stating you can't write something from a different perspective than usual-- It certainly wouldn't be much of a controversy if it was from the point of view of the young girl, so it doesn't seem like there should be a problem. It sounds like the kind of book a lot of my friends (and me) would read, even.
If you want to write it, you should write it.
