It's okay, but a bit choppy. Also, there are a handful of grammatical errors.

i'm going to be writing a book that will be titled "letters to lanie". it will be about a college boy who obsesses over an eleven-year-old girl two houses down, and begins to write letters to her. some of them he sends, some of them he doesn't. that's the basic idea, at least. anyone interested?

Um, it sounds creepy. There's a law where you can't have a minor dating an adult if they're more than two years apart, (in books, at least) and I'm sure it counts for infatuation or obsession as well as dating. (Mostly because they're afraid of it being considered bad even if their relationship doesn't have anything for the censors to worry about. [Unless it's an adult book, then it would most likely be fine legally.])
Unless, his little sister dies and he sees her in that girl, or he loved her like a sister.

It it's your intent for it to sound sweet -and I'm sure it is- but definitely make sure he isn't like a stalker or predator or something.
I think it would be cute if he were her old babysitter and had to stop since he was going to college and was sad, or something like that.

... yes, i'm very aware of this law. i like writing weirder things. i don't like writing normal things, the plots are normally awful. and i'm not going to make sure he isn't a stalker, because he is. but he doesn't want to be. he literally goes crazy. that is the plot of the book. maybe i should've explained more. it isn't supposed to be sweet. /shot

i just get bored reading normal plots, y'know? they're in too many books.
like, the idea of this happening in real life is just disgusting, but if it's a book, it's fake. i in no way support this happening in real life.

I like the idea of seeing his younger sister in her, but if you want to do it weird your plot is probably the better way to go.

but there'd be no plot in that. no interesting plot, at least. i can't see anything that i could do to make a plot about a guy seeing his younger sister in a neighbor do anything besides babysit and say hi once in a while. however, if it's illegal as this person says, then i won't write it. i didn't realize it was illegal to write that, but alright.

I think it's illegal to publish or post it for the public. If you did it for you, then it'd be fine. It's against the law to publish that book if it were geared for kids.
I actually see a plot in making it the way I suggested it. It may not be so "scandalous" or exciting, but it'd be a heartwarming story that people would buy. I don't want to sound biased, but really, it could be a good and interesting book.

I don't want to seem rude or anything, and I feel like I offended you by stating my opinion. But it's just that: my opinion. I don't like things like that, but you do, (apparently. Maybe I read your post wrong.) so you could go for it.
I wouldn't read it. Maybe somebody else would. (Just not a minor.) So if you like it, go ahead.

fine, i won't write it. i wasn't intending it to be sexual in any way, he has the obsession to just marry her and protect her as a husband, nothing sexual, but if it's illegal, i won't write it. and what i meant was that i don't see a plot. if you see a plot, fine. you write it. i don't take plots from other people except for fanfiction and i wasn't asking for a contradiction by you saying that you saw a plot. okay, that's fine. you write it. thanks for the help.

and i don't like "kinky" or creepy-sexual things as i take from your second part about what i like. i just like interesting and controversial books because there's way too many overused plots out there that are, to me, boring.
