It does not scan your personal files, join.me is made by logmein. Other people use their software so if that company was unsafe, not many people would use it and plus it would be on a bunch of websites saying its not

No....but that would beat the point of join.me. If you ever want to do something while people are on the join.me that's personal(showing account info etc.) just make sure to hit the pause button first, then everyone will just see whatever the screen paused on.

It is safe. Here I just googled it.

I haven't done one in a while but that button in the center, if you click that it pauses the screen.
