Mack sighed. "About what we're gonna do. Me and Molly were talking last night," he started and explained the whole conversation to her. "And I need to know what you want to do. I mean, I want to raise the baby, even if it has to be alone, which I'm not saying it will. I'm not doubting you or anything like that so please don't take this the wrong way."

Hannah bit her lip and looked at him as he began, listening quietly. When he finished, she dropped her gaze to her hands and fiddled with her thumbs. "To be honest?" She sighed. "I don't know, Mack. I don't want to have an abortion, but I don't want to be a mum yet. I'm just not ready. And if you want to know something - you have to promise not to freak - but if you hadn't found me yesterday, I think I would have killed myself. I wouldn't have been able to deal with it." She swallowed hard.

Mack sighed, rubbing his face. He brought his knees up and put his face in them, resting his hands on his head. How was he not supposed to freak at that? There were so many kinds of hurt that pushed their way into his chest when she said that. But guilt was the biggest thing he felt.

Hannah bit her lip when she saw his reaction, instantly regretting every word she'd just said. "Mack?" she asked quietly. "Are you...are you okay?" She knew she'd hurt him by saying that, but she honestly hadn't intended to. "I didn't mean it like that, I..."

Mack shook his head when she asked if he was okay. He was crying again, but held in his sobs to not wake anyone up. He didn't want to talk, knowing he'd let everything out at once.

Hannah noticed that he was crying and carefully wrapped her arms around him. She buried her face in his neck. "Mack, shh...it's okay. It's okay. Baby, please don't cry," she whispered, almost begging him to stop crying. She hated seeing upset, especially when it was her fault. "Baby, I'm okay. We're both alive and well, so please don't cry."

Mack uncurled and hugged her. "How can I not cry," he asked. "This whole thing is my fault. I couldn't have lived with myself, Hannah. If you killed yourself. It would be because of me. Because of my baby that I got you pregnant with," he sobbed.

Hannah hugged him tightly, biting her lip. She squeezed her eyes shut and held him close. "It's not your fault, it's mine," she whispered. "It was my idea in the first place."

"It's not your fault, Hannah," he said. "And why would you even think of hurting yourself like that? I mean, yeah Nan kicked you out, but I'm sure she still loves you. And then you'd have everyone in the castle blaming themselves for being to hard on you, and then there's me. I guess you could tell how I would have felt, judging from the fact that I'm reacting like this and you didn't do it," he said. He was just ranting now to try to stop crying and hurting, but it wouldn't work.

Hannah started to cry silently as she listened to him. Her shoulders shook. "I'm so sorry, Mack." She whimpered. "I shouldn't have even brought it up. I'm so sorry, Mack. I'm so, so sorry. You don't deserve any of this and I wish I could help in some way, but I just can't."
