If i take a higher level dragon into a lower level area I dont get anything ever. Not even that little bonus bar.

and it doesnt even have to be my whole team. if ONE dragon is over the level i get nothing

Yep, that's how it is. Also, if anyone out there happens to have Clobber, Anticipate and guard or any of those three I would love to talk tot hem about a non treasure deal >< Need to kit out my new tank

I use two dragons, one at level 8 and one at level 7. The bar won't move as you aren't actually fighting battles hard enough to make it move.

Sometimes I don't get anything either though, items wise, but its like 1/4 will have an item, usually food.

I finally got the scroll x.x Lilith is now a ridgeback!

Decided to go with my first dragon on flightrising, she looks amazing! So happy and worth it ^^
Cannot wait to try on different skins and clothing!
