I might have to stop collecting ;-; My mom really doesn't like that I spend $30+ for these amazing models and thinks that I should buy "more useful things". I really enjoy buying these models and making halters and tack for them, too. How should I convince her to let me get models?

just tell her that its what you like to do. if it is your own money too, you can spend it on what you like

Fluffy:3 -> my mom is kinda like that. she prefs. dolls over my horses... just explain that it's what interest YOU. and perhaps bring up some pages and stuff on them. or show her some of the racers, dressage horses and such.. see if you can make her see that they aren't just "toys".... its hopeful anyhow..

Magnum was at Breyerfest, and pretty adorable. And all I know is that inbreeding causes genetic defects and nobody seems to care...

The people at my barn bred a stallion with his daughter and their son is the best horse you could ever meet, he's my favorite horse in the world, and i've known a ton of horses. There is NOTHING wrong with him, but i'm not saying that inbreeding is a good thing, or that getting a perfectly fine horse is common. I would not suggest inbreeding, though. But not ALL inbreds are defective.
