I held the cloth to the wound and rubbed his shoulder. I don't think I eve have to say anything. I never really have to with him. The gash stopped bleeding and started to close up. I leaned my forehead on the tiny bit of his arm that he wasn't buried into. I sighed and just layed there enjoying his warmth

Still riding off my happy high, I executed a few random twirls in the air as I neared the cave that Riley had mentioned earlier. I wasn't quite ready to stop flying just yet so I didn't. Instead, I just kept enjoying life despite Hiro's obvious discomfort.

Hiro sighed softly and pulled his wings back in, knowing that Jinx was just going to keep flying. No need to cause himself any unnecessary pain. For now, he wanted to try something. He thought about when he flew earlier, how there'd been wind pushing him faster, and thought about projecting that wind to Jinx's wings. At first nothing happened, so he closed his eyes and buried his face in her neck, concentrating as hard as he could. Suddenly he felt a burst of speed and his eyes snapped open, looking over at her wings. There was nothing to see of course, but he was definitely putting more wind to her wings. He smiled softly and accidentally let out a little giggle, immediately covering his mouth with a hand afterward.

The sudden burst of speed I put on did not go unnoticed nor did Hiro's giggle. It only took a few moments for me to realize what was going on. "That power of yours is quite useful." After a bit more aimless flight I headed towards the cave wanting to rest a bit. Once I got there though I realized that Storm's scent was the only one missing so I sat just outside the cave deciding to wait for him out here instead. "Hmph, I wonder what's holding the puppy up."

Hiro shrugged and sat on the edge of the cave entrance, his feet dangling around Jinx's shoulders. He looked over at Ren whose figure was just almost blocked out by the rocky terrain. He glared holes into the back of his head; Ren was the last person he'd seen the mutt with aside from Jinx, and he didn't look good at all when he last saw him. Hiro had long since given up trying to be omniscient or a telepath, but he honestly wished he was, just so he would know what was going on. He didn't like to be ignorant to important things, even if the mutt was just some stupid dog Jinx had picked up along the way. He still couldn't stand the dog, but he was important to Jinx so a minuscule part of him was hoping he was alright, though the rest of him really didn't care.

Less than a minute later I let out a soft whine. "What's taking him so long?!" I let out a dramatic sigh then stared off into the distance with a frown tugging at the corners of my mouth. I'd never been a patient person and at a time like this I was becoming increasingly impatient. My tail refused to stop its incessant twitching and my ears kept moving around trying to find any sign that the puppy boy was here.

the sound of Jinx and Hiro landing made him want to get the heck out of here, but instead he looked up and winced. He gently stood up, giving Ronnie's hand a gentle squeeze, then walked over to Jinx. His eyes where still hidden beneath his hair, so his emotion was blocked out too. How was he going to say this? Jinx would murder him after he did.

Just do it. "jinx," he said softly, "you do know that Erasers have due dates, right?" she'd catch on. Jinx was a smart one.

When I caught a glimpse of Ren I giggled and stood up, tail swaying in an almost playful manner. Yep, I was definitely a happy kitty. Happy, and terribly oblivious. "Well duh! What does that have to do with anything? And shouldn't Storm be back by now?" Whatever was bothering Ren was completely lost on me because I could hardly pay attention long enough to notice. My ears kept flickering towards the cave's entrance, hoping for at least some indication that Storm was back. I almost felt like a dog waiting for its owner to return.

"But why not?" My ears dropped slightly in disappointment but other than that I still looked pretty happy. Why couldn't Storm come back? Had he and Ren gotten into another fight? If that was the case I wouldn't mind leaving every now and then to visit him. Ren wouldn't like it but that never stopped me before.

He narrowed his eyes and turned, flicking out his wings. She knew, she was just making him feel worse. That must be it. Now he just needed to get away from here.
