- Risu's design is based on that of a blue fronted amazon.
- On his right wing, hidden in the pattern of his feathers is the symbols from twilight zone episode to serve man:

- On the middle of his chest, near the bottom, also hidden in the pattern of his feathers, is the key to time from Doctor Who:

- Just bellow his wing on the right is a balloon that has the word whether above it (In his feather pattern)
-Just bellow his win on the left is the words "Oh no not again" (In his feather patten)
- Around his right leg he has a silver band and on it the captain cuff pattern from star trek
