Ren tilted his head in the other direction. He looked like he was about to break, so Ren was attempting not to let her see. "just stress. Trust me, Riley, that's it. I'll get over it."

Riley shook her head, and scooted a bit closer, staring him dead in the face. "Ren. I know it's not stress. Stress doesn't do this to a person. Especially not you. Please, tell me what's wrong. You can trust me." She nearly begged, her voice pleading. She honestly hated to see him so upset and wanted to help.

Hiro smiled softly up at her but his eyes widened when he was lifted off the ground. "Uh, okay but can you put me-" he was cut off by the sudden momentum of Jinx jolting them into the sky and his legs immediately wrapped around hers. He unfurled his wings and beat them a few times but not hitting her, not liking being carried while he was in the air. It just didn't feel natural.

Ren grimaced and after a few moments, he looked at her from under his black hair. "storm's...storms not coming back." he managed, his voice cracking. Storm would be gone by now. His eyes stung like crazy how, and his gaze was starting to blur.

I sat on the floor of the cave an banged my head loudly against the wall. It stung and I'm almost positive it would bleed if I did I again. In fact I could barely smell my own blood ready to spill out of a wound that was quickly forming on the back of my head. I slammed my fiss into the ground.

"W-what? Storm.... Oh no. His expiration date came and went, didn't it?! Why didn't you tell anyone Ren?!" She nearly shrieked, already on her feet, grief and anger tinging her voice. She'd always been so mean to him, and she never had the chance to tell him she was sorry! And now she wouldn't, just because Ren!

Blood spilled freely from my head. I had a huge pain in my chest and lungs. I literally couldn't breathe. I gasped and my vision blurred into white emptiness. [i]I could see Riley. Then i saw her and Ren "I'm sorry." she whispered. Then Ren and Storm. But wasn't Storm...gone? Storm's figure faded into the white..... I coughed as my vision came back to normal. I saw the cave again and continued to Cou. I doubled over and felt sick. Blood from the gash on my head dripped down the ends of my hair dying I red with my blood. It dripped onto the cave floor, sounding like a leaky kitchen faucet. I coughed and gagged loudly.

Still riding off my happy high, I executed a few random twirls in the air as I neared the cave that Riley had mentioned earlier. I wasn't quite ready to stop flying just yet so I didn't. Instead, I just kept enjoying life despite Hiro's obvious discomfort.

he winced at her words and tried to force down the tears. Instead, Ren wrapped his wings around himself and almost completely disappeared. He didnt want to handle this. He'd managed everything else in their miserable lives, but never death.
