Ren followed Riley silently, forcing himself not to look back. He had his hands in his pockets, staring at the ground and simply following Riley's wingbeats. Even those sounded muffled. The world seemed to be tipping as he spaced off, and his flight pattern turned ragged for a moment. There was no way Storm could die. It just didnt seem real.

He finally looked behind him, spotting Jinx and Hiro heading this way. And the slumped figure of Storm against the tree. and they where just leaving him.

When Riley was nearing the cave, she looked back, and pity seared her heart as she spotted Ren looking back, looking so distant and seemingly sad. She would definatley talk to him when everyone was in the cave... But, that would come later. Turning forward again, she pulled up softly, landing gently on the small outcrop that was the entrance of the cave. Tucking in her wings, she walked into the roomy cave that could easily fit 20 people.

Once I saw Hiro another goofy grin was plastered onto my face and I couldn't help but pick the small boy up and nuzzle his cheek, purring loudly the entire time. "I'm not going to put you through a night of hardcore cuddling! Do you know how freaking happy I am right now?! Probably not, but I'm pretty freakin' happy!" I couldn't even remember a time when I was this happy but that didn't matter now because nothing could bring me down. With Hiro still in my arms I leapt into the air and with a powerful downstroke that was fueled by happy adrenaline I took to the skies.

Ren snipped in his wings when he reached the cave, scanning it with dull eyes, then walked over to the very back where the shadows climbed the walls. Sitting down, Ren closed his eyes for a moment and completely blended in with the darkness, a faint outline of him visible against the wall. He just needed to sit and think. Honestly? Ren wanted to start punching the walls and destroy everything. Holding his temper wasn't easy.

Riley just shook her head when Ren disappeared, walking over and laying a hand roughly where his shoulder should be. "Ren, what's wrong? I've been back about 20 minutes, and I can tell something is really bothering you." She stated, a hand on her hip. She wasn't going to leave him alone until he answered her. "Ren, you can tell me. I don't like seeing you so upset." She said, a bit more gentle this time.

his green eyes flickered open when she put a hand on his shoulder, his gaze almost glowing in the dark. He looked at her closely, taking a few moments to respond. Ren tilted his head up and said, "you guys just don't give up. Do you have any idea how many times I was asked this today?" he paused, shifting so he was hugging his knees. "yeah, something's bothering me."

Riley smiled a bit, sitting beside him. "Well, I was sure you'd know by now, but I'm pretty good at telling when people are bothered by something. Especially you." She teased lightly. Shifting slightly, she tilted her head at him. "So , what's bothering you. And remember, you know me. I won't stop bothering you until you come clean. I know when your lying, so don't try." She smiled.
