With that, he managed to drag Candace out of the cave, and the two started to walk away.

Cory the Sceptile lay down by the injured Mightyena he had taken in, waiting for her to awaken. He kept his bad eye closed, so as to not startle her.

Cory lifted his head a little bit as the Pokemon finally stirred, his head tilting. Had he actually managed to save the Pokemon? It's wound had been so large; he had been worried...
It would probably leave after it awoke, and that was fine with him.
He had given up. If it left, he would just lay here and hope to enter an endless sleep.

Cory frowned. "Maybe I shouldn't of saved you then. I was honestly planning on eating you until I noticed you were breathing. So I tried to keep you alive. I'm sorry."

Midnight sighed"i dont even see the point of liveing anymore, my packs dead, and i cant hunt alone."
