That is the most horrible, disgusting, evil thing of her to do. That is horrid. Stella went through all that pain and pregnancy for her babies to be fed? :'( Breaks my heart. Save that baby Hello, and raise him or her to be a star.

I'm kind of nervous now. I went on goosemoose to just look around, and I went to a life expecgancy page. It seems almost all of the rats died from tumors...I really don't want to have to take rats to the vet, for anything like a tumor. I also don't think my mom could handle a rat with tumors. (She can barely handle rats even if they are fine) Would taking a rat to the vet once a year help? If so, how much do health checks cost?

Tumors are more common in older female rats than in boys, and I've heard that people who have rats with tumors and cannot afford to get them removed, wait till the tumor gets big enough to cause discomfort, and then they take it to the vet to be put to sleep; which is much cheaper than getting tumors removed. If you're really tight on money (this should only be used as a last resort), you can home euthanize your rat, which I definitely think you don't want to do. Anyway, here is the link for home euthanasia: http://www.ratfanclub.org/euth.html It may be a sensitive topic to some people, just a warning if you click!
