As gently as I could manage, I disentangled myself from Hiro and climbed down from my perch in the tree we'd slept in. When my feet were on solid Earth once more, I stretched and yawned, blinking slowly in an attempt to clear my sleep blurred vision. I didn't even remember going to sleep last night, I had intended to keep watch but that obviously didn't happen. Shaking my head I stumbled forward a few steps, wanting to have a quick look around to make sure we weren't being followed or anything but that didn't happen. Sleepiness and lack of balance caused me to slump against the nearest tree, using a low branch to keep myself from falling. I was terribly uncoordinated this morning which was ironic because I was a cat. Where was that cat-like balance when I needed it?

« Ren woke up slowly, not wanting to get up from his warm wing-blanket. He finally lifted his head, the sunlight shining in his eyes not allowing him to sleep any longer. Ren ran a hand through his ruffled hair, which at the moment resembled a chick's scruffy downy feathers, and glanced up at Storm with tired eyes. He gave a cheesy, sleepy smile, then braced one arm up against the ground to sit criss-cross beside the Eraser. »

Storm sat up as well when Ren sat up. He gave a good morning smile, then proceeded to let out a large, long yawn, stretching out his arm high in the air then returning the to rest in his lap.

When I finally woke up completely, I took a good look around the camp, peering through the trees carefully. Morning paranoia. Ugh, it sucked. I had to force myself to chill out so I could actually function properly and not go looking for trouble. A little red robin jumped around a few feet away from me and I wanted to chase after it so badly. My tail twitched as my body froze completely. Closing my eyes, I forced the need to capture the little birdie down and continued surveying the camp, making sure everyone was accounted for.

« Ren laughed softly and patted Storms head. "s'rry." he mumbled and reached for a lower branch of the tree above him to help him stand. Ren felt his blood rush to his feet and got lightheaded, fluttering his wings slightly to keep himself upright, and managed not to smack Storm again.»

Storm was in the midst of standing up and was knocked back a few steps when Ren waked him again. He stumbled back surprised that his balance was so bad, another side effect of his new tattoo? Who knew. He simply regained his balance after 2 or so steps. "Well, seems someone hates morning more than I do. Just don't take it out on me next time alright?" He winked, just messing with him again.
