Blood Lillies - [ Zombie/Human]

Riley inhaled sharply and gripped anything that was beside her at the moment to keep her from arching her back in pain, knowing right now it was best to be as still as possible. She exhaled with a shuddering breath, closing her eyes tightly and tried to think of anything else except her throbbing shoulder.

"It's alright," Jeff repeated, hugging her, not sure what else to do to help her relax and stop crying.

Belinda's crying started to slow and die down.

"Be glad you're first meal was a dog, and not someone you once knew." Kat sat down on the couch, waiting for Rick to come or for Kaylee to come back.

"Consider yourself lucky that you don't remember what you were before, Kaylee. I wish I never remembered what I did to Darrian. If I forgot him, I would be a lot happier." Kat closed her eyes, and then opened them.

You wouldn't want to lose me, would you? Darrian's voice echoed in her head.

"You know, I could be legally called crazy because of you. Normal people shouldn't hear voices of dead men in their heads." she argued.

You're a zombie. You're not normal. Darrian countered.

Kat tried to ignore him, but how were you supposed to ignore your own thoughts?

Rick got off of the bed. Kaylee was probably done with her meal, and he wasn't going to stay there forever. Jess had stayed here, and by the look of it, so did Jace. Maybe Kat could find a way to figure out where they went. He walked out, slowly, shining the flashlight ahead of him.

"I think we might want that. I wouldn't want to hurt you," Jace said cockily. Though, in reality, he didn't really want to break something in a fight against a zombie.

"Make sure none of the shingles are loose." Roia suggested. "I think that's why I fell last time. I'll work on the solar paneling, so by the time you're done with that, I'll be done too." She crawled over to some of the solar panels and started working with them.

((Okay, I know a little bit about electrical (like the three-way switch) but I don't know much about solar panels, so Mike will finish up his thing, Roia might trip, but I don't really want to do the stuff on her working on the panels, because I don't know how they work and I'm to lazy to look it up.))

Lily rolled her eyes. "Suit up" she grinned as she watched him. She sighed thinking about the old days. She asked after a while "Have you seen any of the old group since the break out?"

[ Ahhhhh! This is like my third time writing this T.T because thee evil computer doesn't like me T.T ]

"So, what are your hobbies?" Dexter asked Riley, trying to distract her from her pain, he was close the last coil around her wound, he bit his bottom lip and took a calming breath, "Me, I'm too lazy to have a real hobby most of the time but I like to get out to hike when I muster up the energy," he chuckled dryly.



Kaylee dumped the dog in a trash can and went back inside, shuddering at the blood on her hands and clothes, and then sighing, she would have to find somewhere to wash up. She looked over at Kat then looked around for Rick, wondering where he was and what was taking so long.


Jeff smiled as her crying slowed, "Do you feel any better now?" he asked quietly.

Riley's breathing hitched for a moment, but she forced herself to relax and focus on his question. "When I was younger, I used to ride and do volleyball." she replied back, inhaling deeply for a second before letting it out in a sigh.

"Ride? as in horses?" Dexter asked, continuing to bandage, ignoring the scent that threatened to overwhelm him, he felt horrible but it was part of being a zombie that used to regularly feed on humans.

Riley nodded, wincing slightly but the pain was slowly starting to get better, not good but was better. She looked up at Dexter, and to her he seemed sort of on the edge, "Hey, you seemed alittle stressed, are you alright?" she asked, worry laced in her voice.

"I'm fine," Dexter told Riley reassuringly and finished bandaging, he took a controlled breath and sat back on his heels, "just the scent of blood is a bit overwhelming." he looked over the bandages, making sure he hadn't made them too loose or too tight, "Is your arm feeling any better?"

Riley flexed her arm out, causing her to wince but that was about it, "Yeah, actually, a heck of alot better." she replied back, sitting up slowly. She rubbed her arm slightly, it still felt alittle sore but the pain was bearable.
